Probably a good argument why not to approve a hypothetical JL/QF JV considering how far ahead by passenger loads they were against NH and VA.

Holy cow. Maybe I need to spend some VS miles on NH flights to go see Hello Kitty, before NH pulls the plug too. Their load factor is not really any better than VAThose ANA load factors are not too hot either.
Have to wonder how ANA loads were in 2019 with daily flights from PER and SYD to TYO.Holy cow. Maybe I need to spend some VS miles on NH flights to go see Hello Kitty, before NH pulls the plug too. Their load factor is not really any better than VA
Correct, accompanying adult kids have separate (whY) tickets booked and accommodation has been booked - everyone's leave is approved etc"No movement" as in you aren't flexible with dates?
Great award availability around 2 weeks out with Velocity pointsHoly cow. Maybe I need to spend some VS miles on NH flights to go see Hello Kitty, before NH pulls the plug too. Their load factor is not really any better than VA
Thank our (Queensland) taxpayer dollars through the AAIF subsidy scheme for lasting as long as it did. Considering it was marketed as an inbound route with no contingency plans for outbound marketing, it's no surprise they've struggled.Honestly, I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did. Pretending to be something better than Jetstar while arguably delivering a worse overall travel experience than Jetstar isn't exactly a recipe for success, unless you compete hard on price, but there goes any smidgen of a margin...
See post #1827 aboveIs there a list of AAIF supported services?
Clear case of slot hoarding, to either use it or lose it, QLD came to the party with tax payers moolah, VA had little to lose, rather the clever one in the room imo.Slot squatting by Bain who thought that they were the cleverest in the room. Not looking so clever now by missing the IPO window with presumably the capacity handed back to Qantstar just in time for the profitable ski season. Facepalm moment for Bain.
Appears that Monday and Wednesday flights (with some slight exceptions) have been cut from the beginning of September until mid-November.It looks like they are beginning to pull flights.
Ok this is not good. Looks like my flight on Wednesday 10th sept outbound now just says Perth to Brisbane...and somehow on the app has lost onward to Cairns then Haneda but has the full return on the 17th. Thanks VA for possibly ruining this holiday. I have seen no e mail as yet from VA....Appears that Monday and Wednesday flights (with some slight exceptions) have been cut from the beginning of September until mid-November.
This isn't the first time they've reduced to 5x weekly. Same thing happened throughout June.
Sounds like my Covid experience when VA cancelled the BNE -HND legs of my SYD - HND return booking and then asked me to confirm that I would still be taking the SYD - BNE - SYD legs.Ok this is not good. Best to be proactive, get on the blower with adjusted plans, no point fighting a fight you can't win. Refund or change your plans by a day or 2. Say it's a big inconvenience etc, don't be critical and see what happens.
Being courteous goes further than the other direction I've found.
