Looks lovely - and I notice that the tables on the lawn are already set up for Covid -19 personal space.

Beautiful - I want to be somewhere like that now

This thread has gone quiet, so I thought I'd throw in a "special".

As many of you would know, getting in to see Da Vinci's "Last Supper" in Milan is not easy. Numbers are restricted, you go through in groups, your time in the viewing area is strictly limited an no photos are allowed. I went through all this during my last trip there in 2012.

However, way back in 1979 I was also in Milan, and stumbled across the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie almost by accident. I walked in through an open door and came across this (I've only just scanned the slide and thought it worth sharing):

As you can see, it was undergoing restoration at the time and security was a bit lax.

An interesting contemporary Monolith :

The Hekse Steinen, or Witch Stone. This memorial was dedicated in 2002 to the memory of the 350 witches burned during the Norwegian witch trials. Anne Pedersdotter and others were executed in Bergen, at this stone’s location, but it marks the memory of others who met similar fates throughout Norway, especially during the Finnmark trials further north. The inscription translates as: 350 bonfire victims to miscarriage of justice 1550-1700.
