How much is your taxes? Did you see 2 separate transactions on ur bank app? If it was paid by credit card, then it should be 2 authorisations. Hopefully 1 gets cancelled.

They asking me to pay $910 perpax to make the changes but my old PNR was already $986p/p.
When I did a dummy booking with the same routing, the new total tax should be around $1k. So there is something wrong there.

I am not sure whether we can ask them to recalculate all the taxes and then just refund the difference of what we paid? Does anyone have any experience? I paid just shy of 2k per passenger for a 10 sector OWA trip. How many sectors do you have on your itinerary?

I called qantas and they admitted that they have taken about an extra AUD$600 from me for taxes. They can give the money back to me but the whole things needs to be reticketed and he will need to recalculate. The 600 figure is not a confirmed figure but he did say it will be around there. He did also say he will be with the ticketing department so that tickets can be ticketed immediately. Is it worth the effort you think? I'm just worried that they will stuff it up again somehow and flights will be lost and stuff.

I don't understand why they can't just reimburse the difference to me without getting it reticketed. Maybe I need to speak to one of the supervisors again.
