Turkish Airlines Status Match

Yes... Sorry worded that poorly. A match to Elite is as high as they seem to go. They don't match to Elite Plus. Benefits are TK only though

I got matched end of Nov and am still waiting for my card to come in the mail. I even did a TG flight with the number in the booking. What's the deal?

Their service leaves a little to be desired.... Do you get your benefits on TG?

If your TK number was on the TG boarding pass you'll get the miles. They send an email when they post. Might take up to 2 weeks max. If they don't post check your bookings and Miles&Smiles account have exactly the same name. Middle names can be a pain if you put them in your account name but they weren't in your booking. Middle names have more significance in Turkey.

At HKG I used the check-in counter and wasn't questioned, at the lounge, I logged into my account on the phone and showed them and she wrote down the number.

At BKK check-in I was questioned and told it didn't show Star Gold on their system, but I insisted I was and that it was fine in HKG so she relented. At the lounge I logged in on my phone again and they let me in.

You must be quite persuasive. Much easier of-course if you have the card. Well done.

Confirming the TK *A Gold status appears on the SQ BP stock. Also says "You are invited to the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge" across the boarding pass, so really no risk of being turned away, provided you are actually crediting to TK.

Unfortunately for me, the KF Gold Lounge was packed, and was quite a poor looking product even if it were not. I walked right back out after arrival (funny watching the lounge staff reaction when you do this), caught the Skytrain to T1, and used a free Priority Pass access to go into Skyview... ahhhh, much betterer :)

Cheers.

After a lot of backwards and forwards work... An Australia Post bag from Turkish Airlines in Sydney arrived last week with my membership pack

I've been meaning to ask N860CR, is your name anything to do with a C560?

My new card still hasn't arrived since being matched months ago - whats the best way to follow up? Request online or call them?

Try the Facebook page. I got them through that. Push hard though... They're a hard company to deal with!

You might find that the transactions post individually. Was there a note specifying the updates triggering the 500 points?
Yes, this was the upgrade your profile points offer. Indicated my profile and mobile number update for 250 pts each but did not acknowledge ticking all email notification check boxes. Just typical of TK IT performance.

Maybe try updating again? :)
