How long has the card taken to arrive for others that received the status match? I got the email confirmation on 27th Nov but haven't received a card in the mail yet.
It will be about 3-4 weeks. At this time of year it may be a bit longer.

I flew TK business class on 2 Asian trips, I phoned them, I requested the card on line. It's been going on for months and I still have not received it. Reading forums, it seems no one has received an Elite card in the past 6 months.

Maybe they're waiting till people actually credit a flight now, which is technically what it had always been anyway just never observed...

I'm actually crediting my first flight to TK today after 6+ months of holding the card.

It's also given lounge access for my ppt-akl flight as VAs shonky alliance doesn't allow it on Pacific flights for whatever reason.

I have credited over 20 000 miles being Elite ... and still no card coming in the mail.
TK has somehow a strange way to run its frequent flyer program !

I purchased a QF fare that I could upgrade to J class for travel September 2004 from SYD-LAX, but when I tried to upgrade I was advised that there was no available seats in class. I was not advised that J class was completely booked, but at least I got an aisle seat in about row 50. I thought I would have received an upgrade seeing my travel was out of school holidays etc etc, but more experienced people on this forum will no doubt advise you of your chances of an upgrade and whether an upgrade can be guaranteed, as I may have gone about it the wrong way.

I'd suggest emailing or calling to request one in that case!

Has anyone else had a ridiculous amount of difficulty attaining the status match?

I have sent countless emails and scanned copies of documents and still waiting...

How long does it take from email to acknowledgement?

Actually I qualified for Elite Plus on 2 December and that card hasn't come yet, so maybe there's a hold up.

I logged on to Miles & Smiles and requested a replacement card yesterday.

Matched in Nov 2013 - Still no Card at all.

It can take 48 hrs or weeks.
I would advise to start from scratch and send a new request.

TK has a very odd customer service. it's sometimes efficient, it's sometimes very unprofessional. I guess it all depends who deals with your request

Any recent experiences with membership packs being sent out? I was matched on 23rd Dec however nothing has been received. I emailed to follow up… no response as yet.

Hi All - this may have been covered somewhere in the thread, but I didn't find it in fair review... wondering if anyone has any experience with their [acquired] TK Elite status showing on other *A carrier boarding passes when they are printed? Not yet having received my TK kit (I was matched in late Nov-13), I have added my TK FF# to an upcoming SQ booking, and am wondering whether I will also need to carry other evidence of the status from TK to redeem *A benefits?

Also... using the *A Lounge Finder on their website, it suggests that the TG lounge at Changi T1 would be the lounge to go to for TK Elite Card holders flying on SQ. This is fine, except I am departing from T2 on this flight. Do you think they would let me into the SQ KrisFlyer Gold lounge in T2 as well? Any other tips on *A lounges in Changi appreciated. I've only held QF/OW status before now!

Cheers.

In my limited experience (adding a TK number to a Lufthansa booking), the boarding pass showed up as Star alliance Gold and no other evidence was needed; which was fortunate as I never received a card. I would carry print-outs regardless. You will be allowed into the SQ Krisflyer Gold lounge in T2, you can lounge hop between terminals if you wish (only exclusion in the SQ SilverKris lounge, which in SIN is restricted to First, Business and PPS card holders).
