TV series discussion {'ware Spoiler Alert}

GoT is OK, I'm not interested in reading the books, but I feel that the TV series jumps around storylines too quickly, are the books similar?

The other series I'm enjoying is Vikings.

But TV time is a rarity with three yungun's
I loaded all the GoT books on my Kindle and being a fast reader, happily churned through them some years ago to Europe and return. I really enjoyed the read, however they were so dense with characters my brain got overloaded trying to keep the storylines in their separate strands. The dwarf guy was the only character I was really sure of! I can never work out if it's better to read the book first or watch the film.

An enforced stay at home has me flicking through Netflix and over the last day an a bit have binge-watched Bloodline.

WOW! A slow burn but what a brilliant series. Could not stop watching - had to play the next episode! An American series filmed on location in the Florida keys, it features Australian actor Ben Mendelsohn superb as the damaged prodigal son (and he was such a nice lad in the"Big Steal"). His performance must surely put him in line for major recognition come awards time. And the series finishes with a major shock; cannot wait for Season 2.

IMHO, better than "House Of Cards" which I thought excellent.

Highly recommended.

I think he just got nominated for an emmy for best supporting actor in a series.

couldn't get into bloodline. a bit too slow and found it hard to be engaged.

just finished watching Broadchurch season 2. excellent follow on from season 1.

A good point JessicaTam. I got Netflix from a new mobile plan and now will have to see whether I can download GoT Series 5

I just watched the MASH finale 'M*A*S*H Goodbye, Farewell and Amen' again. Now that was a TV series.

Husband has MASH playing each day he is home getting dinner ready. He gets through a couple of episodes each night.

I have changed my ISP so that I can stream Netflix without adding to my data usage.

I am looking forward to, well, lots of viewing.

Telstra have upgraded our exchange, and looks like we can now get ADSL. If it all goes OK, will go from 15GB per month to 50GB with a $30.00 a month saving.
Whooo Hooo, now I can start to view downloadable programmes.
Netflix or Stan ??

I don't think that GoT is a Netflix title.

Well my new ADSL is up and running (limping) at 0.7 - 0.8Mbps*. Hmmm. I spent an hour on the phone this afternoon with my ISP and after trying all manner of things, a technician is going to come out and check the line. Some things are not meant to be easy.

*Yes, that's bits per second, not Bytes per second.

Telstra recently upgraded me from a 200GB p/m cap to a 500GB p/m cap FOC... I'm not complaining but their bean counters may in a few months

Interesting that everyone got this unsolicited so maybe it was to balance Optus others...

Not sure the title change but despite his protestations Kit Harrington has been signed awhile ago for seasons 6 and 7 of GoT.
