Confirmation no filming of GoT in Croatia this year. Read somewhere HBO might stretch the show out to eight seasons. Looks like a Westeros lite season.

After months of speculation, one question about Game of Thrones has been answered: the show will not be returning to Croatia for season 6.
HBO confirmed today officially that, “based on story and location needs,” Game of Thrones will not be shooting in Croatia this year.

Sorry your right, mixed up my Kings Landings (city) with Westeros (Region). KL was mainly filmed in Dubrovnik seasons 2-5. In that same period, a lot of other places in Croatia were used. Looks like season 6 will be Winter Heavy. However saying that, the Dalmatian coast can experience snow in Winter but relatively rare.

Will second this motion - I am PVRing it all, and you may be able to can catch up on SBS online if possible? From what I have seen the location and cinematography look brilliant, and from what I understand from someone who has seen a few episodes (and is also a fan of the books) - is that they have to cram a lot into each episode so its a case of paying close attention to the clues!

Isn't it terrific. Im a fan of the books and had a different picture in my mind of what Harry would look like. However the actor playing him really fits the bill. And how could you not like someone with the marvellous name of Titus Welliver.....well harry is Heironymous afer all...
 
Slowly working my way through Season 1 of "Orange is the new Black" - ep 6 done tonight. Really need a long flight with a window seat...
 
Just finished bingeing on Halt and catch fire s1 and s2. For those that were around in the 80s and have any interest in the tech world it's a must see. In fact I would go so far to say it's a must see anyway! S1 is available on US Netflix and I think it's showing on showcase on foxtel. S2 is a bit harder for those of us in Oz, you can get it through Google play though and prob iTunes as well. A ripper of a show made by AMC.

Michael Dorn is still in discussions with CBS and Paramount (CBS (which owns the TV rights) and Paramount (which owns the movie rights)), so till it gets green-lighted... Brannon Braga has a deal with Fox, JJ Abrams is too busy and Ronald D Moore is doing a couple things.

Seems Michael Dorn wants to write it.

Well apparently the fans liked the episodes that Dorn directed, writing could be another matter, looks like he will have a lot of hurdles to get over before anything gets approved anyway. Good luck to him.
 
At home with a throat that feels like I've swallowed razor blades, I downloaded and binge-watched Humans Season 1. Great show about a synthetic (life-like robot) that comes to be employed by a typical middle-class Pommie family. Combined American-English production.

Riveting stuff! Off to see if they've commissioned a season 2.
