TV series discussion {'ware Spoiler Alert}

So has anyone got Netflix, Stan and Foxtel?
We had Presto (got it free via a VA promotion) but it died and we got Netflix. Increasingly shows we want are on Stan but it might be a bit much to get that as well seeing as we've signed on for a free trial of Foxtel Go (or whatever the online version is called). We've never had Foxtel in cable form and the way things are going I think its days are numbered, in cable form anyway.
I have Netflix and have had it for a while. I used to have Foxtel but dropped it as when I moved to the country I could no longer get the free to air channels!

I had used Foxtel for the F1, but now subscribe to an online streaming service which is cheaper, and I can use it where-ever I have internet (just like I use Netflix).

The bulk of my FTA viewing is news/current affairs these days.

Without the English Premier League Foxtel has little appeal to me.

But that't me.

Netflix... enjoying it. Anyone else been watching You, Me, Her. ??

Synopsis - married couple in a funk somehow fall in love with an escort, who reciprocates feelings. It's quite cute. Nothing tawdry at all either. Set in Portland I think, but filmed in Canada.

MrsGM and I are enjoying it.

After knocking off yet another Nordic Crime Noir in Spring Tide (which was excellent) I am continuing my feast of this genre with Trapped.

All these shows are also wetting the travel appetite too!

Between Spring Tide and Trapped I watched the two series of the English Crime Show Unforgotten which was also excellent and a break from the nordic way of doing things. I must say that there have been a lot of truly outstanding crime series produced over the last several years most of which I have only just binge watched over these last several months.
I am looking forward to Broadchurch III which will be the last Broadchurch.

Although a film, The Discovery will be on Netflix next month. Looks freaky.

Set in Portland I think, but filmed in Canada.

My sister, a Vancouverian, loves to point out which shows are filmed in her town. Hint: if it's set in Seattle or Portland or even SFO sometimes, it's filmed in Vancouver. So many shows have harbour scenes and I recognise all the bland apartment towers around Vancouver Harbour. But sometimes they even show Lion's Gate Bridge from Stanley Park and it's still 'Seattle'.

Just watched an episode of "The Gourmet Detective", it's filmed in B.C., I could tell as it looked like it was about to rain, or it was raining, or it had just rained...... I'm married to a Vancouverite, it's an ongoing joke between us, although she does not think it's very funny anymore!

One of her former boyfriends has even appeared as a body double for a very well known actor from the states.
A person I knew a long time ago used to provide vehicles, including police cars for lot's of shows, he has since retired though.

Loads of stuff gets filmed in Vancouver, including the "x-files" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Television_series_produced_in_Vancouver

Some shots from Nigel's workshop as it was then.

Some more, for anyone that knows my interest in cars, it's not hard to see why I wanted to visit his workshop, I'm not talking about the Noble, but I wouldn't mind one of those as well!
