TV series discussion {'ware Spoiler Alert}

People will obviously watch other shows in the meantime, but anyone who followed seven seasons is unlikely to lose all interest in the final season in 2019. Even if they do, the hype train will probably get them back on board.

More X-Files? The truth is out there, says Fox chief, it's just not that clear - Sydney Morning Herald

The second "event" season of the iconic supernatural drama The X-Files has made a solid but unimpressive debut in the US, leaving network bosses less certain of the show's longer term return.

Around 5.2 million viewers were tuned into the series return - down from around double that for last year's six-episode event season of the show.

Latest Curb your Enthusiasm with Larry David was quite funny with about the first ten minutes devoted to airports and a plane flight.

Just saw the Season 2 episode where Larry and the long suffering Cheryl go to the airport, this Season 2 episode looks like it was pre 9/11 so I can only imagine how much material the "Curb Your Enthusiasm' scriptwriters had to work with there.

Let me guess:

Larry David + the TSA + modern airline customer service = some very black comedy?

Billions is back again in March on Stan. Love that show. Just caught up to date with Designated Survivor. Mmmm. First time it’s ever surprised me. Now to wait a few weeks.

Well that’s dedicated. I read on whirlpool it was 6 weeks after last episode. So hopefully mid Feb? We have a love hate relationship with it.

Maybe 76 days from December 15th?

Winter Olympus in Feb from memory.

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is now on Netflix for any Seinfeld fans out there.

Hit and miss depending on the guest, but if you like old cars there's that too.

Watching Series 2 of The Crown. I knew there was something dodgy about David but never realised how closely he meshed with the naz_s. I’m thinking my mum who was just slightly younger than Queen Elizabeth didnt either.

Just finished watching seasons 2 & 3 of the tunnel (having watched the UK/French season 1 a few years ago) - definitely worth a look if you like crime drama.

Gerard Depardieu in Bon Appetit is a horrifying but at times, a fun watch.

Horrifying because you can see the heart attack hes going to have soon, his blood pressure in some scenes is dangerous but funny because this guy would eat tyre tread off the side of the road, if he could. Everything that can be dipped in oil, butter or garlic is at risk of this guy eating it.

I've heard he enjoys road kill with a dash of butter and garlic

I have enjoyed the second series of The Crown. It has fictionalised a lot of things although it is true that the Duke and Duchess of Windsor did have sympathy for the naz_s. A lot of it is conjecture though and from my reading it seems that Wallis was more pro than the Duke. I'm not sure how I'll cope with the reported total actor change for Series 3 when it is released. I've grown attached to Claire Foy et al.

Have been watching Monster, the Nordic noir on SBS on demand and have found it very engrossing. A more unlikable set of characters is possibly hard to find and the scenes show the desolation of far-north Norway.

Coming to the end of Lucifer on Netflix. There have been some great lines. I can see why some of the ultra-religious may have objected to the series because it made the Devil out to be an OK sort of guy. :);)

They did show them both in photos with Hitler. She was indeed beaming. I hope they do a good make up job with Olivia then as she was rather drab as the detective. But then they did a good job with Claire Foy.

It will be interesting.

But note that being a fictional account, just like the scenes of the palaces, yacht etc, there's no guarantee that the still photos they show in the program are actually real.:) (They may well be however.)
