Re: UK - in or out of the EU?

Renato1 I think its fair to say that we are on the opposite side of this one. I've read your post and while I don't agree with everything you've written, you have certainly made some interesting points. When I get a spare half hour or so, I'll have a look at the you tube clip. Suffice to say that the successful integration of new migrants is an issue that the EU needs to address as a whole and is not limited to external migrants.

Safe travels.

The world is changing as we know it. The wiener ( sausage ) is no longer being sold in school tuck shops in Germany. They are now talking about stopping Pork all together.

There is no integration ..... Why ? it's impossible Poor Liz Hayes from 60 minutes team got stoned Sweden. ( for no reason)

The Berlin street vendors selling pork wieners have decidedly sadder faces when last seen. ( about a month ago)

I want to eat pork anywhere any time and be dressed not according to Sharia Law. ( and not be raped).

Cologne New Year's Eve shows you how quickly one can get assaulte

Re: UK - in or out of the EU?

Australians resident in the UK can vote too.

But British citizens who have lived overseas for more than 15 years can't. I have both British & Australian nationality but have lived too long in Australia to be eligible. I'll be on holiday in France on June 23rd: will be interesting to see how it gets reported there. And in the UK on the probable date of the election in Australia. I can't help feeling the referendum will be of greater importance for me than the election.

Well we know the election will just get us a bunch of pollies, the referendum could change the way some of us do business, not maybe for the worse either.

Re: UK - in or out of the EU?

I've now decided I am voting out. Bring on the referendum.

Re: UK - in or out of the EU?

Well time has moved quickly, and referendum is under a week away. I now have a bet on Brexit with the bookies, and while the polls have seen remain pick up pace, the polls are confusing and not all aligned.

The amount of rubbish being sprouted by brexiters and remain is astronomic. Lies, miss truths, personal attacks and utter rubbish scare mongering has become common place.

No surprises there...........the truth doesn't seem to count for much these days no matter where you are.

Re: UK - in or out of the EU?

I hope it is Brexit.
It might open up an old market for our dairy farmers and help them out a little.

Re: Should I stay or should I go (EuroZone)

Remain camp is leading, but one does wonders which way it will go.? ( Brit Exit)

As for Munich good grief are they really closing down hotels?

I'm going to stick my neck out and predict that the remain camp will win the Brexit poll tomorrow, and by a surprising margin. It's just too much of a leap into the unknown for the populace.

Re: UK - in or out of the EU?

I suddenly realised with all the talk and blather in the press I didn't even know what the question in the referendum actually was.

I thought it would be like ours:

Do you want the United Kingdom to remain in the European Union? Yes No. (tick one box)

But it looks like this:

So no 'yes' or 'no' at all. Could you see that happening here? It is simpler by the look of it.

Might get more Yes votes - we normally knock back anything in a referendum.

To be pedantic (and go OT ) , could this sort of matter even go to a referendum in Australia (which is for matters affecting the Australian constitution), or would this just be a plebiscite, the first one for nearly 40 years could be coming up soon, and this allow for non YES/NO wording?

Britain gets EU exit boost: Shock poll reveals scale of voter anger with Brussels
THE crusade for Britain to quit the EU has received a massive boost after a shock poll revealed the full scale of voters' frustration with Brussels.

Bye Bye EU ??

Interesting to see what happens

Re: UK - in or out of the EU?

It costs UK $Billions each year to be dictated to by Brussels despite the fact Christine Lagarde et al are hopeless. UK would be mad not to leave.

Re: Should I stay or should I go (EuroZone)

The funeral march is playing for the EU tick tock tick tock .... I don't know yet but half of the people are pissed of with the current situation
