Not everyone got and/or sought a match.

Would be a rather hypocritical statement too unless everyone there was committed to giving up their QF WP status completely and flying QF unless forced to.

Of course, many did though.

I think it's in the spirit of the whole excercise - light hearted fun :)

Not really. I have half a plan to maintain both WP and VG. Reckon it is do-able and all.

My comment about hypocrisy more relates to those who would wear the hypothetical "QF Enough is enough" T-Shirts or the like.

In my opinion, if you're really going to make and wear QF shirts with a "no" sign through it or "QF Enough is Enough" T-Shirts, then no it is not. Do you think those that do union strike and pickets are doing it for fun? Walking in with a very clear "anti-Qantas" shirt right in the face of Qantas does not portray you immediately as someone who is doing this for fun, irrespective of your actual conduct.

I see the spirit of this Do is one last hurrah for any time access, not a complete anti-Qantas rally (if it were the latter then you should all have a card cutting ceremony to seal your complete discontent at the airline).

I know you're being facetious and you'll all stick to the rules but like Mal said, best not to poke the bear.

Wow, JQ35 will be interesting indeed.

Next question, for those who are staying in MEL, are we enjoying the J Lounge benefits on Sunday or are we just flying out early up?

I need to decide whether to fly back to CNS on the direct at 9am or hang out for the connect-route later in the day..??

Oh and for those staying, I'll be at the Hilton. I know some are staying at HI.

Sorry, yes I did sort of get that, I was just to lazy to do a smiley on the AFF app.

As the saying goes 'Some days you get the bear, some days the bear gets you' :p

HI is $148 on F&F which wont last given the tennis is on etc.

F&F??

I feel ignorant...

Now, most important consideration is whether to put my shiny new untouched NGCI tags on my carry-on for the JQ35 check-in line..??..??

Accommodation booked - Rydges Capital Hill

With the pending big trip (numbers wise) coming up, are we going to arrange to meet at JQ check-in at SYD? I'm assuming there will be more than enough WP's to guest the rest in, but probably best to make sure those on JQ35 are all covered.

If anyone's got an hour or two to kill prior, i'll be at SYD T3 J lounge. Drop me an PM if you need to be guested in there, or if you're flying up from MEL on DJ and want in to The Lounge (I'd be up for an early morning game of pool) :)

May join in on the Sunday too, so if anyone around the city needs a lift out to MEL I can accommodate 2-3 people as well as myself.

nlagalle and I are on QF422 from Melbourne, arriving at 11.25, so we might have half an hour to kill before we can check in for JQ35.

I have Big Day Out tix for the Sunday, so won't be joining any shenanigans then.

Do we have an up-to-date list of all on JQ35?

Indeed we will.. and also as we are now travelling together my guest spot in the F lounge has gone..

I’ll be arriving much earlier than the 3-hour checkin window, though don’t think we should all be moving to the lounge as a large group. I’m sure we’ll see everyone at checkin though ;)

Should arrive 10:30 on DJ. A game of pool might be in order, but then I do have to change terminals :(
