Since I'll be on my way back from Aruba, I cannot attend. :(

But if I was, I'd be travelling

CLASS, just so I could bypass most of you in the Queue.:p

Now I know that while the F Lounge does get info on how many WP's on JQ, it would be interesting to observe.

With the pending big trip (numbers wise) coming up, are we going to arrange to meet at JQ check-in at SYD? I'm assuming there will be more than enough WP's to guest the rest in, but probably best to make sure those on JQ35 are all covered.

If anyone's got an hour or two to kill prior, i'll be at SYD T3 J lounge. Drop me an PM if you need to be guested in there, or if you're flying up from MEL on DJ and want in to The Lounge (I'd be up for an early morning game of pool) :)

May join in on the Sunday too, so if anyone around the city needs a lift out to MEL I can accommodate 2-3 people as well as myself.

Drewbles, I'll meet you in the J lounge at T3, I'm coming down from CNS and get to SYD at 9:45.

I’ll be arriving much earlier than the 3-hour checkin window, though don’t think we should all be moving to the lounge as a large group. I’m sure we’ll see everyone at checkin though ;)

Should arrive 10:30 on DJ. A game of pool might be in order, but then I do have to change terminals :(

Like Noah's Ark, 2 by 2 is a perfect entry configuration. Anyway, not overly worried. Qantas already knows our plans (Hi Qantas staffers! ), and will be "ready" with their planned strategy. But logistically, turning up at the lounge as a huge group is stupid.

I'd suggest simply going straight to the lounge as each WP + guest checks in, given the time it takes to check-in it should space out nicely.

My arrangements are stil tentative as I may be returning from Europe on the day. If I'm leaving from MEL, I can guest 5 to CL. In SYD I can guest 3 to the FL. If anyone wants to spend some time in CL in SYD that will be cool (5 max unless +1 is there, then we can guest 8)

Let me know if you are interested on any of the above AND your flights so we can work out timings.

Please note that Straitman + any of his guests will have priority in CL as I have had contact with him regarding this.

OMG awesome!

Do you by any chance have anytime CL access, incase I wanted to see what it was like on my return from MEL? :p

Bossreggie, Lawlass and I would be interested from MEL! on the 10am flight to SYD.

If anyone's got an hour or two to kill prior, i'll be at SYD T3 J lounge.

I will be in Sydney on Friday night for another event and have nothing to do on Saturday morning besides have breakfast so I might as well head in to T3 J and say hello :)

Excellent, will PM you.

This is a very kind offer. I'm arriving in SYD at 10:30 on DJ924, would love to see the inside of the CL, even if only briefly, might be the only chance I ever get ;)

I'm tempted to say the same...... but then again - maybe I'd prefer NOT seeing it ;)

I'm already spoiled and get frustrated when flying whY internationally...... I'm not sure I want to feel disappointed with the QP/J lounge too ;)

Do you think QF will have a planned strategy for the day? How will they distinguish "bona fide" travellers from AFF pot-stirrers unless you tarnish all with the same brush....

The only pot I intend to stir is the one containing my 3 scoops of gourmet ice cream washed down with Taittinger.

I'm back in the F lounge 3 days later anyway :)

I may order a few pots* at the bar, but have no intention of stirring any. :) I see this as a totally good-natured little adventure so hopefully any 'planned strategy' would be no more than to help us have as good a time as possible.

* that's the Melbourne word for schooners, you know... ;)

I still like the suggestion earlier in the thread that QF should seize the opportunity to turn it into a positive by having a QF rep to host us.....

And no I'm not being a pot-stirrer ;)

I mean seriously.... I would think that if it was DJ, it would be something they would jump at....

If the Melbourne word for schooners is pot, what’s the Melbourne word for pot? In QLD you can order 3 sizes of drink, pot, schooner and pint. So if your pots are our schooners, then what are our pots? :p

Asking for a pot in Melbourne has always got me something much smaller than I would expect of a schooner. Closer to something that in Perth would be called a middy.

Yep. I didn't think that Melbourne had the standard schooner size glasses - a 'pot' in Melbourne is what we call a 'middy' and it's smaller by about 1/3.

I don't drink beer *gasp* but when I do have something from the tap such as a cider, I'll order a pint - they're always the same and available universally :D

You will be bitterly disappointed in South Australia then Ewing
