The only time I tried it at the lounge I was moved with no fuss and even received a seat in the first three rows [on a "Happy Hour" fare].

Good to know. I'm fine to travel an hour later, but would rather fly up with my friends. Worst case is I spend an hour more in The Lounge than the SYD J lounge

I just had a conversation with bossreggie. Unfortunately he will now be unable to attend, as a pressing family matter has meant him flying at very short notice to London today. In fact, the aircraft door was closing when he rang off.

He apologises that he won't be able to attend and will be off AFF for probably a couple of weeks. He may catch up with UK-based AFF'ers that he knows when he has sorted things out, prior to his return.

I've been watching this thread with interest, and have been trying to find a way I can join in (would be great to meet you guys), but I just can't get it to work

Bit of a bummer that Melbourne to Wagga is so poorly serviced. The only Rex flight is in the morning, and unfortunately I can't stay that night in Melbourne. My only other option is to go through Canberra (CBR-SYD-MEL-CBR), but the 2.5hr drive on each end makes it a bit difficult.

Good luck with that, I doubt check will open until T-2:40, based on my only time on this flight.
