Cancelled mine this week, painless to cancel, didn't even try to get me to stay, he asked why, i said annual fee is due, he said no problem, closed.

Well I stuffed up and went overlimit...rang them and was CREDITED back Overlimit FEE as good customer and first time.
They said they would activate card so that it would not go over limit in future!
Still if they do not give it for free next year then I'm cutting it up!

This happened to me too. My card went over the limit by less than the over limit fee. They refunded the fee and I requested that the card not be allowed to go over limit (if it's such a bad thing that it warrants the fee in the first place)

Can I just get some info on cancelling the card.
1. You received statement with Annual fee due on it?
2. You rang them before annual fee due on statement?
3. You paid only the amount owed minus the annual fee to close the account?

I paid my account out, then called before receiving the statement with the annual fee. The only thing I said was the annual fee was far too high compared to a supermarket QFF card.

They said ah yes but you save booking fees on Jetstar with us. I said that's not a benefit for me. They said ok, we'll cancel but you're welcome to reapply.

Given there is a 20k bonus points offer currently (via QF website) - has anyone tried to use this as leverage to either:
(a) get the points c.f cancelling and reapplying
(b) waive the fee

sure, call and ask for a payout figure, then when asked about why, say you're not sure the fee is worth it. then get the fee halved and a cheap balance transfer offer.

If approved for Mac Plat Visa...is this a side effect?

Rang today.....said was cancelling Jet card if annual fee....on hold.....unable due to system(they type info) 50K spent annually.
Card cancelled.
I forgot to printout statements....cannot access website....they said would email last 6 months of statements for free.......

Transferred to Mac cards services(another department) to see if Mac card approved......Approved
Whats even weirder is that I got the limit I requested that is higher than Jetstar....yet told will have to wait 6 months to get put up........

Unable to access account online as well after the Mac Plat Visa got approved!

Cancelled card as no facility for them to waive fees. Bonus offer after the agent consulting someone was transfer of balance for 6.99%. Politely declined. Spend was ~25k

Looks like it is a process for them to send out last 6 months statements after account cancellation as online access gets revoked.

Cancelled my JQ card today, told them I didn't want to pay the annual fee and they merely responded 'I understand where you're coming from', no offer to waive. Just under 30K spend.

Didn't work for me either. Cancelled mine today, told them I didn't want to pay the annual fee on a Jetstar branded card after a disappointing experience with Jetstar Airways. Offered a balance transfer but didn't want to waive annual fee. Spend level was ~$30k

weird, with far less spend than that I got it 50% waived and a balance transfer offer that made it profitable (2.9% < 5.1%).

They are investigating after I spoke to another rep today.....T&C may lose points on cancelling card WTF?

I have not been able to access my account since getting a MAC Visa Plat as well.
In playing around with Mac website I entered my old Access code and password and I got a new pop up(accept t&C)
It seems I have stumbled onto my own account that has no credit card info but NEWS and INSIGHTS What the hell is this?
It's like I am a share holder?
Goto Macquarie Group Australia click on personal and type in Access code and password.
