The email I got for an account recently stated "Just log in to your account and pay $9 by 4-29-2012", so I presume you can pay online. It was only 1000 miles from a sign-up bonus in this account rather than the account with all the purchased miles, so I never logged in to find out definitively.

A friend of mine received a 'targetted offer' from US, Buy Miles and get 80% bonus. Did anyone else receive one?

Mine was 80% - only got it for my account, not my wife or child's one.

seems like my mom got the luck with this one! no one else in the family. what an odd number... 80%... maybe it was easier than the 75% bonus where you'd end up with 500 spare miles??

so I wonder who got targeted? anyone who got this email also participate in the points.com offer? you'd be buying bonus miles now and having more bonus miles post from a previous offer. insane!! :)

There's been some talk around linking PNRs together for children travelling with adults on separate bookings. Just wondering how that works?

We're thinking of doing the following:

Wife and infant travelling on flight 1 to London
Me and child travelling on flight 2 the following day to London
Me travelling on flight 3 back to Melbourne after 3 weeks
Wife and infant and child travelling on flight 4 back to Melbourne about a month later

This isn't an issue in terms of booking it (I think) as I'll be booking flights from 3 different accounts, but I imagine that my son's PNR has to be linked to my PNR for the outbound flight and to my wifes PNR for the return. Is that an issue?

Thanks,

James.

Yes, we participated in the points.com offer, but did it with all 3 accounts. The only difference I can see is that my account already had some miles in, so my balance was just over 100k, but the other 2 accounts are under that.

should be fine. my friends have done this with their child in fact... flew with mother on outbound and father on the return. the PNR was linked accordingly so the child was not travelling 'alone'.

just to be double sure, I would confirm with Thai that one adult can travel with two children if the children are very young...

Thanks :) I'll check with Thai on their policies regarding 1 adult with 1 infant and 1 child.

I got the offer but my girlfriends account did not. Out of interest has anyone had the bonus miles post from the previous points.com offer yet? I bought miles through this offer with my girlfriends account but didn't buy anything with my account last time around.

I don't know if they've been getting a lot of queries but points.com posted this on FB overnight:
[h=6]Points.com
[/h][h=6]If you participated in the US Airways 50% Buy miles with extra 50% for joining Points.com by April 15, your additional 50% bonus will be awarded by June 1.[/h]

I got the 80% extra offer.

Unfortunately my bank account (you know, one that holds Australian dollars, not US DM miles :p) is near 0%. That doesn't work when you want to take advantage of this promotion. :(

Nothing for me (yet). US were a little slow last time I recall in getting the offer out and some people got it a few days later. I need a few more miles so fingers crossed this comes through.

I got the 90% bonus miles offer and haven't bought any miles this year that i remember, but seeing i am leaving on a DM award in 7 days and have approx 130k still in account which is good for my next trip in J and almost enough QFF points in the near future for another 140k OW award I don't think I'll be buying any more DM miles this offer, maybe later in the year if another 100% offer comes out...
