Nothing for me as yet... :(

I booked my travel last year but only just took our trip last week! Hopefully get the email... I don't know how I'll ever go back to Y !

Edit: Logged in and the offer is there. I have no travel planned just yet but wow... I have a few decisions to make )

nope. Nothing for me either yet. Anticipation when i saw (1) new message in spam... but that was just to buy cough :(

interesting... I just logged on and went to 'buy miles' - no mention of double promo. Then clicked on 'buy' and an extra screen popped up requesting my name an DM number to be entered again... then I got the 'thanks for redeeming balh blah' and the 100% bonus is there!

So look like it is specific to eligible members....

Got the promo. :p

4 in the family, only two got the mail!

3 out of 4 for me . I did find another way to get the miles at 100,000 for $1000 I got in on a deal with a group of guys on FT it seems to work but I haven't tried it yet. I will report back later.

ANA doesn't show C/F on the A380/77W/A345, even if SQ mistakenly or otherwise makes it available. Aeroplan would probably be the best bet if UA is still having an SQ block.

ANA was showing the J SQ 380 flight into FRA. I had overlooked it thinking it wouldn't be avail.

Got the email last night.

'Let us help you restore your balance. Enjoy a 100% bonus when you buy miles....'

I made a booking 4 weeks ago, so perhaps targeted to those whose have purchased an d redeemed miles recently.

Cool. Be interested to see what happens in reality though... please do report back!

It will be interesting to see how the SQ booking goes.

WELL..... rang this morning in hope to ticket, the agent could only see my bne-sin flight THAT'S ALL !! geez, had to start again this time via IST. Agent says it's not possible to see J in SQ.

then we got to the end and she said she had to split the bookings (2 travellers using their own account) and she said she had to speak to the other person to take the miles from her account. ggggrrr, the other person lives elsewhere. Is that normal ?

As I indicated from reports on FT, that was going to happen. Moral of the story if you see SQ A380, ticket there and then!

If all the miles are coming from 1 account, no need to split. If they're coming out of 2 US DM accounts then yes that's normal. Last time I did it that way though, she didn't request to speak to the other person.

Sorry to hear that :( - but the advice on here or FT is usually better than what an agent tell you at US.

Splitting bookings is necessary for 2 separate accounts - in future you should try and say this at the time of booking. I have been asked before to put the other person on the line to verify they want to use their miles. So that's normal (but not always required).

I wasn't to worried if I lost the SIN - FRA as I knew I could prob re route, the whole booking wasn't there tho except for bne - sin.
I did tell them at the time it was 2 separate accounts etc. The other traveller is 300 kms away from me bit hard to get them on the phone.

Will try plan b, when i work that out lol.

Isn't it possible in your profile to specify a third party who is able to make bookings using your miles? Can't log in at the moment to check but I'm sure others have mentioned it.

Hi guys

Beginning to plan our next trip In 2013 and now the latest 100% offer has come out we will be able to book it soon so just wanted to run this potential trip past the experts. So would this be valid?

SYD-BKK-FRA-YUL/ORD (Destination)
YUL/ORD-FRA (Stopover) BKK-SYD

Was hoping to use TG to FRA and then Air Canada to Montreal all legs in J.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts

FRA is further from SYD than ORD or YUL so I think it's your destination, not a stopover.

So i take it that would not be allowed? Would you have any idea on how i could get to the east coast of the states/Canada with a stopover in Europe

Actually, I think that itinerary should be legit. You can't really flip it the other way around, because travel to Europe via USA from Oceania is prohibited.

Just proceed as normal with the points, since this itinerary, if possible, will require the same number of points for Oceania to Europe as it will for Oceania to North America passing through Europe. So the points goal is the same; you can worry about the routing issues later.

Of course, don't forget that you can only have one stopover or one open jaw. So if you want the stopover, you'll need to choose one of YUL or ORD to be your destination to fly into, then the same city to fly out of.
