i was told by the us airway agent that i can only book JL flights 60days from departure. This is despite the fact that she can see availability on the JL flights. Is this a case of HUACA? or is the agent correct in her advice??

I managed to successfully book JL flights for next year so I would definitely recommend HUACA.

Yep, total cough that its gone to One World, spent 2 tedious hours last night trying to get a simple SIN-HKG-DEL (stop)-DOH-AMM (stop) -DOH-SIN itinerary... AMM a OW hub I would have thought but on the BA site couldn't see any RJ flights... Eventually told I would have to book one trip from SIN-DEL-SIN and another DEL-AMM-DEL....

two awards is technically correct as the original was not 'legal' with a proposed stopover in DEL.

Too much faffing around / MPM?

If we had the *A system of old I'd be happier there but the state of the other camp right now is not good. My last *A redemption I had to make before the change was a nightmare and I couldn't wait for a sea change.

Being from Perth and travelling across to the east 4-5 times a year - USDM in oneworld works for me :)

anyone think issues might occur if my wife and I used the same cc to purchase miles? I'm just concerned about audits which think the accounts are owned by the same person....

Has anyone booked a GUM award from east coast Aus recently?

Was wondering if it was still a viable option

I've never had a problem (touch wood). Over the last 2-3 years I've used the same card between 3 accounts (at the same time, which may or not be stupid on my behalf) without any problems.

i think the horse is now bolted for this loophole???

It was never a 'loophole' as such, just many pushed the envelope to request stopovers which weren't allowed under the program rules.

Travel to GUM is still valid if you can stay under MPM and find the availability.

Doing some planning for a Europe Trip and wondering...

CX J Versus BA F HKG >> LHR

Would the difference be that BIG, understanding the CX J product is pretty good and either way both flights work from a connection point of view.

Advise.

The seats are pretty similar. Big difference will be in soft product and access to CX F lounge (assuming you wouldn't have access via status.

You'll pay a premium for BA F seats, viz. fuel surcharges, if you wish to take up that option.

Seat apart BA F should be better than CX J. On some BA services to/from HKG, they are riding currently on the A380 halo effect, too.

BA F will grant access to the LHR T5 BA Arrivals lounge (if you are in a situation to use it). CX J, I believe, gives you access to the LHR T3 AA Arrivals.
