US Dividend Miles - post your SUCCESSFUL award bookings here.

It was the 747 with the 'standard' first class. The type on the Thai website.

Now in royal first lounge about to go have our 1hr massages before our flight to Paris. After about the third meal, the bed being made up and the great service...my girlfriend turned to me and said " I don't know how I'll fly economy again!"

I tend to agree with her!

Fwiw my routing: syd-bkk-cdg-fra-icn-bkk-syd

Have we had any bites from our forum members on this!

I was saving to have enough points to do 2 people in F to South America, but am seriously considering pulling the trigger on J class just to fly SQ :P

Thank you Gold member, just changed my flights ICN-SIN F and SIN-SYD F next month:) Also change flights to A380 Business from FRA-SIN-PER with SQ for next year. I owe you a drink in the F lounge next time I see you:)

Well done mate, glad to see at least some of us in AFF world can take advantage. Will you be attending the Mel-syd-Mel FCL pissup July 21st? Yu can shout me a drink there if you like :)

We just came back from SYD-BKK-FRA...MXP-BKK-SYD almost all in TG F and everything went very well.

Did you notice any difference in treatment on TG ? I asked for the Dom and told there was no left but other drinking it freely

Were you in the old or new TG F from SYD - BKK - SYD? If it was the new, how was it? Mrs Diddy rang up Thai last week to re-confirm our flights and were told there was an equipment change - same aircraft though but the agent did mention it was the new F??

Just cheacked an upcoming Air NZ flight for seating as they have changed to updated aircraft on PER-AKL route and was advised that one of my onward flights have been cancelled and US was advised in MAY!! No info from US up till now. Not happy with that:(

Booked 2 x J tickets on OZ... SYD-ICN-LHR-ICN-SYD... departing Nov 2012.

Worked out to be just under $3000 for each ticket, including all 120k points (during bonus points promotion) and taxes - which were $500 each.

Booking took close to an hour over the phone, and I received eTickets after the third follow-up two weeks later. Not overly impressed with the whole booking process but thats what you get for such cheap award flights...

It was the standard 747-400 TG F seating i.e. 10 seats in the nose. Not the brand new F suites they are installing on some 747s. I like this config, it's certainly better than the QF equivalent where they jam 14 seats into the same space.

80k miles each, J return LGW-IST(stop)-NRT(dest)-FRA-LGW. TK on the way out (77W) and LH on the way back (388). Quoted $212 per pax but only seem to have been charged 275 in total.

New new F is not yet flying but due very soon. I know someone who was flying TG476 SYD-BKK yesterday and they had an aircraft change to old old F.

TG only has a limited number of dottles of Dom on each flight - something like 2 bottles per sector. The dom is catered ex BKK. So once the two bottles are used outbound then that's it. Now if there was a VIP they may have opened another bottle. Or other pax may have been finishing a bottle and you just missed out. Or they may have thought you had enough to drink. On any airline... not all pax are treated equally even in F.

ticketing would have been instant, and the ticket number would have appeared on your US airways account under the US record locator. It's usual for US not to send an email, even though they promise they will (and go through the whole 'what's your email' routine. I usually get the service desk at the airport to print me a copy of the e-ticket in case i need it for immigration (proof of onward flight etc).

Thanks for the input.

Good to know - Just to clarify, Mrs Diddy actually called to confirm our seat allocation, at which point the agent said that due to an aircraft change we'd need to reallocate the seats again. Aircraft is still a 747! Not sure what this means exactly but I was hopeful of the new F. Flying in Dec so I guess plenty of time for multiple changes but prob no chance of the A380 on that route at that time. Still can't wait :)

it means they have gone from a 10F configured 747 to a 14F configuration, still on a 747. old F is still a good problem, comfortable seats and excellent service.
