US Dividend Miles - post your SUCCESSFUL award bookings here.

Fairly straight forward over New Years.

BNE-BKK-ICN TG J
ICN-PEK-BKK-BNE first leg AC J, rest TG F then J.
$146 taxes.

not that it really bothers me but does anyone know will I have access to f lounge in BKK on the way back considering I am arriving TG F then connecting to TG J on a sector that doesn't have F class?

just as well you do! the business lounges are pretty base!

I've put on hold a very simple all TG itin for Easter.

2 pax in C

MEL-BKK-KBV / KBV-BKK / BKK-MEL

90k + $108 tax each. Never really planned to burn miles on Asia awards and there are certainly much better value ones than this but my stash is big enough I can cope!

Maybe you could've gone to GUM with a stopover in BKK, then a separate ticket from BKK-KBV?

;)

No matter, as you say, if points balance is not a concern. Besides, I'm only suggesting this from a hardcore-FF point of view. :)

Oh the thought did cross my mind...but I just can't be bothered! The call took about 5 mins for this one...great agent, she might've been wise to GUM!

Just booked Syd-bkk-fra/fra-lhr-yyt/yyt-lhr-fra-bkk-syd - taxes were high thanks to LHR (I am guessing its LHR), but I got it booked and its for 2 x pax.
No email confirmation through for his ticket yet, but I got her to email it to me as its his xmas gift and she may have got my email wrong.
It is showing on their website though.
Air Canada has their confirmation codes listed already, but I couldn't select a seat because it wasn't booked on aircanada.com, is there a way to select seats?

unless you are in the UK for >24hrs then the UK APD shouldnt come into play. That looks like a great itin and cheaper than is should be as well. Best keep quiet about that one.

our taxes were $370 usd plus $50 booking fee. I thought that was cheap (using QF as reference haha) but when I see others only paid $100 odd... maybe she charged me the extra $ to have the right amount of points added?

Taxes seem pretty normal for LHR Great booking!

We stop in LHR for 2 hours over 4 hours back, the flight from YYT has no real options with direct flights (other than back west over US/Canada) but we couldn't get J travelling west to get home, so an OK J rather than whY is what we had to settle for, although I would have much preferred F you can't have it all.
I almost fell over when she said the points, then I asked if it was all in F - i thought thats what we were looking for - she had 1 all in J and a mix of F and J for the other she could find some f so I said just book it all in J. I should have said book what you can in F then because she said something about 125k for F... still cheap.

you may never get an email confirmation. I've had one or two since in about 3 years. there shouldn't be any APD if you are transiting LHR.

For my last 4 bookings over the past few months I've actually recieved 3 confirmation emails. Out of 10+ bookings I've made I've received 5 confirmations.

Ah ok, mine came through when she was on the phone and then she did the +1 ticket, I also went to their site and tried to re-email it to myself. Still hasn't come through. I downloaded it and saved it to my laptop - so I have a copy incase it all goes haywire you know.
But I don't think he will be able to read it so I will have to write it out more plainly to give it to him as a gift I think...

How many points did this itinerary cost you shellthom?

It cost her 100k per person. Undercharged. :o

There was no APD payable - the high costs were due to the high passenger service fees in the UK (this is not APD, which is coded GB), Switzerland and Australia.

your destination is north america (YYZ) - so the price should have been 110K. How did they get 120? (excluding any obvious issues around MPM! :))
