Though that is none to be a bit to the left.
John bolton in his book which is not very complimentary of Trump said he didn't say that despite what the recent Allantic article says.
For matters of accuracy and context, please quote where Bolton said that Trump didn’t say McCain was a loser?

The NYT is another source for the story. Or is that also a bit too left?

LOL. It’s important to read what people write carefully. I said “someone” and never said I felt for “you” because I find it difficult to believe you would support views of Q loons.:)

But I stand to be corrected if you feel the need.
I dout I support the Q but as I have never heard of them until mentioned in this thread and have never browsed their site I cannot honestly say. I think it’s important to be blunt so people reading posts can easily understand exactly what is meant without having to read every carefully - Leaving no room for miss interpreting. written text la expression and can be misinterprete. I obviously misunderstand what you intend to get across as it looked like you are simply having a dig at the side you are against, not 1 organisation that you believe - and Is very likely loony. Your post looked like a general Kettle is black but The pot is spotless stainless steel - you stated it wasn’t and looking at what you were replying to it wasn’t- I am not disagreeing, as I said earlier I am happy to take your word for it Without visiting the site to find out.

im a bit sad you don’t feel for me, I feel for you :)

Ah the bromance has started. Note the date!

Well there plenty examples of where Trump shows extreme hated of anyone who is regarded as a better person than himself or who has publicly critisised him.

Probably more woke than left, but that's another story :)

Me too!! I've said it before - I'm amazed at all the nutty 'right-wing' commentators, sites and various other manifestations that I'd never heard of (even Australian ones, let alone the US!), until they've been mentioned or quoted by those here who I guess wouldn't be tagged with 'right wing' in a fit ;) . That said, I do occasionally quote from the ABC on-line, so I guess I'm guilty of much the same thing

Again, not to disagree with you, but a similar criticism happened between the Democrats during their primaries (I appreciate its not the same context though). Trump will use those clips, don't worry.

As Steady noted above, each political side is just as guilty as the other, its just one's personal point of view that makes one side egregious and the other one invisible in the same regard. I'd wheel out the Democrat clips, but I'm in no-one's camp this US election. A plague on all of 'em (if that's not insensitive in the current environment).

Trump did call McCain a loser, the video's not hard to find, but it was in reference to his losing the 2008 election, not his military service.
In the same clip though, he was subsequently very disparaging about his being a POW.

Ha. Just listening to SBS news about the US war dead as 'losers' and 'suckers' comments story:

"The story has now been corroborated by leading US media [might have been news] outlets, citing un-named White House sources."

Corroborated by un-named sources, huh?

i was listening to the radio today (BBC) and they were talking about the phenomenon of postal votes for this US election - truly an extraordinary election - I do not recall which state it was, but in that state, for the previous election, by this stage they had received 30,000 applications for postal votes - in this one they are already at 700,000!!

This is going to be messy....

Now of course you have used quotes out of context. This has all blown up about what went on in 2018 when Trump was in France and didn't visit the Normandy beaches.well documented that the Marines called off the helicopter flight as conditions were marginal for a mission but not OK to take a President.

In the post you originally posted you had Trump saying Mc Cain was a loser. But the Date was 2015.That was in the context of the primaries for selecteingthe Republican Nomination. In that context McCain as a Republican that had strood for President and had lost was slightly different to him supposedly saying that so as not to visit the War cemetery in Normandy.

We disagree. The issue on discussion is on McCain, not France. So where is the actual evidence to support your hypothesis?

Trump regarded McCain as a loser on multiple fronts including war service, since he, Trump, squibbed his draft and has little regard for veterans.

I find it incomprehensible that some support the Trump view of the world and his continued lying to the public.

The current furore has been precipitated by the Atlantic article which was about 2018 and also contained the Mc Cain words.
So you are just broadening your net as you usually do.

No. Read the original context. It as about Trump’s comments on McCain.

Why can’t people on this thread understand and respond to context?

So you just had that memory of Trump's remarks and amazingly the Atlantic article anticipated your thoughts.
Sorry but you never seem to understand what I am saying. It cuts both ways.

Do you mean agree with what you post because you are right and other perspectives (That of the kettle for example) are incorrect or totally incomprehensible?

your sounding like Trump 😜

Guys, I think a shared glass of straight merlot is appropriate in these circumstances. Then you can find a common enemy....
