It is still open and you are gold (regardless of being lifetime) so you can apply for a status match

My status match has just come through, very impressed with the speed of processing for online applications cf. KLM/AF took weeks. Now to book my flights and repay some of that loyalty

Doubt it will still be open in November wallis, I feel it's going to close after a week (ie. opened on 25th August, so maybe 31st August or 1 September) or when they reach their taget number of new members.

Think status match will be done and dusted by then.

hmmmm Bronze - Red, Join up online (FOR FREE !!!), and do a few flights with VA, and earn Silver direct with them.

I'm still waiting. ....but I'm happy to wait until the deed is done. I'm looking forward to the VA/DJ lounge experience.

I was issued the temp card when I status match at the lounge. Does the card entitle me to the luggage allowance? Or do I have to wait until my status match has been officially processed?

It entitles you to all the benefits of silver/gold/platinum for domestic travel.

You'll need to present it until your online status changes.

I agree - was thrilled to see barista there on Aug 13, but have cringed when they haven't been there - that motor oil they're trying to pass off as coffee should be reported to the EPA!

Now not intending to berate , judge or rant (honestly ), but I see this sort of attitude toward a matched status as one that has the potential to wreck ATA for all of us. Been discussed previously, and Stuser please believe me I'm only using your post because it typifies the situation, but the ATA issues with Ansett GW have been raised recently, Qantas has removed it and now us DJ regulars have only just got it and may well lose it due to abuse by comped SG & WPs who want the facility but refuse to fly DJ..............

I doubt it will get abused, just like I doubt the QF was really abused, time will tell, besides DJ track every visit, lots of visits with no flights would be easy to flag for a call to ask why, which is a valuable tool fromDJ when you think about it.

I should also just say too, it's not an odd coffee that I'm really referring to, I'm more thinking the comped WP with 3 guests, all flying QF and sitting in the DJ nice new empty lounges ordering 3 beer at a time (some can get away with it Markis10 ).

I do hope you're right, but I think I read on this forum somewhere that NO other airline in the world now offers ATA......or was I dreaming that!
