If u signed up at the lounge in bne u were given the book and temp membership card. No tags tho. Other lounges did give out the tags. There was a similar note in the book. Haven't checked post box today.I now have that incentive.

I just got to work after a seminar this morning and see an Express Post 500g satchel (plastic) from VA.

Open it to find not the expected (I thought it might be my Gold membership kit - nice and quick); to find that it has:

1. VFF With Compliments Slip, pre-printed but hand signed by Phil Gunter, with the words "As a valued Velocity Gold Member, please accept this gift in celebration of the launch of the new Velocity Frequent Flyer program" as well as WCS from The Lounge Team, Brisbane
2. Book by Luke Mangan, personally signed
3. metal ties and Gold cards (x2)
4. BNE Lounge Manager mobile number (on Express Post envelope)

I know which one I am going to treasure most

Did anybody else get that today or am I lucky:?:

Just spoke to Annette and she explained about the book.

Also found out from Brett Godfrey where crazydave98 is now. State secret, only unlocked by 128 bit encryption.

Just received an email to confirm that I have now been matched to Velocity Platinum. [My girlfriend also applied for a status match to Platinum]

So once that comes through, 2 of us plus 6 of our friends, having drinking parties at Virgin's The Lounge. Thanks VA

Silver status just approved (matched with Qantas silver)

Just received an email stating that silver velocity has been approved - I applied the day it was announced, so just under a week. Now just waiting for partner's Gold to come through and we are good to go - and also join Europcar for our car hire next year.

I just got an email that my silver match has been approved, now just waiting on my partners gold to be approved. We applied via email the day it was announced, so just under a week all up.

Was overseas when it was announced so only put in the request on Monday... going to take a while me thinks. But I can wait, no rush here...

Received my Velocity card in the mail today. Unfortunately it was the Red one I applied for (and received acknowledgement) at the beginning of June. They indicated a couple of weeks back then, so I hope their idea of 4 weeks is a bit better.
