Velocity/Virgin websites are RUBBISH

Once OLCI opens I think they're open to anyone.

I think when loads start to go back go normal that still may be true but they may leave the blocks in longer or more Plats will be flying which means if they have the right sense of mind they will select row 3 seats.

Not cool. VFF Please take note that Row 3 should be a Platinum only benefit.

If it's not a published benefit (which it isn't to my knowledge), how can VFF take note?

If there's no WP on the flight, should row 3 be left empty?

It has happened.. Flew NTL-BNE on a 738 on Xmas day and been a lowly Red I managed row 4 at t-12. No one in row 3. But when boarding was first commenced for priority.. No one stood up. I guess I was the most "loyal" virgin flyer that flight...

Didn't stop a couple wondering up from the back to sit in row 3 though...

I've sat in row 3 as a Gold a few times. Not easy getting it, mind, but it has been done.

As a Silver I'll be very surprised to get row 3 - let alone anything beyond row 5 or 6 - unless it is premium-flyer light.

Mine is Gold and still can't have row 3 in the front Y class.... feel disappointed with that service!! Things have been changed.

But Row 3 and 4 do not have own ptvs...so better sit at the back. I prefer to put my bags under the seats NOT in the overhead bin. It's so annoyed that flight attendant keep asking me to put my bags in the overhead bin not under my seats or whatever I like.

Scored Row 3 MKY-BNE yesterday, still Gold (On a Fly-Ahead too; Could only get Row 4 on the flight I was first on)
It's not the first time its happened either.. Even was lucky once as a Silver
Since hitting Gold, haven't had a problem obtaining Row 4 at OLCI T-48. Once I reach Platinum come later this year, Row 3 all the way...

Row 3 for Plats. only though.... Haha... That will be the day...

And you STILL can't see your bookings without entering your reservation code! What is the point of it? How would you find it if you didn't have the email with the code?

You select the option to use your velocity number instead...assuming it is against the booking of course.

Is this after you've already logged in? ;)

Note: I haven't used the website that much recently...

Either logged in or not logged in. The default option is PNR, and there is a link (Retrieve with Velocity Number) to change the form to Velocity number instead.

If you're logged in it passes your Velocity number in the URL but then does nothing with it!

I saw the VA CEO profiled in the Herald Sun today. Not a mention of fixing his airline's ****ty websites. Hopefully the work is going on behind the scenes though. 44 pages of feedback here should count for something.

Can anyone that uses the Virgin Corporate Login portal to make bookings then go in and use any of the MMB functionality?

It seems that personal bookings I make via the normal booking screen allows me to then go in and change flights / seal allocation, but any booking I make via the corporate login doesn't?

Had to change flights yesterday (flexi) - tried to do this online but got the "contact GCC" message. Platinum desk was going to charge the $35 change fee until I explained that I couldn't change online, so they did waive the fee.

Ah now that explains a few things! Would be interested to hear if its just your corporate login or all VA corporate logins that have this problem? Try retreiving your booking made in the corporate login by going to Manage my Booking on the usual VA web site and maybe try retreiving the booking with your velocity number or with the six letter PNR. Are you getting Error #00354 when entering your PNR or Velocity numbers? Would also be interested to know if you are able to do OLCI on the VA web site once you are close to flying.

Since the switch to Sabre in Jan 2013 bookings made by my corporate travel agent for me have not appeared in MMB at all, so seat selection and other MMB stuff is impossible unless you call, they are irretreivable by either VA number or by the PNR. Once OLCI opens, it now appears that I can select seats at the OLCI part of the VA web site. My corporate travel agent assures me and can show that my velocity no is associated with their bookings but I still cannot retreive my corporate travel agent bookings using my velocity number or indeed the 6 letter PNR!! The PNR provided by my corporate travel agent and by Tripcase work fine in Tripcase so I know the bookings exist, my corporate travel agent knows the PNR exists, I know it exists, the VA call centre staff knows the PNR exists, actually pretty much everyone except the VA MMB web site knows that the PNR does exist!

But surely it would not be too much to ask for the VA Corporate login booking system to be able to actually communicate with the rest of the VA web site and booking engine?

I can view the booking under MMB when accessed from the usual VA website, but cannot change anything. I don;t recall a specific error #, just a message to contact GCC.

I was able to do online checkin from my iPhone for the return flight yesterday.

Velocity under maintenance tonight...

Fixing 'my bookings' after logging onto velocity is on my wish list!!

That last couple of times I've been on the site, I've just gone round and round and round - redeem points for flights - click - login - click - redeem points for flights - click - login - click - redeem points for flights - GIVE UP!

So I'm guessing they still haven't fixed up the seat selection debacle !!!!
Booked a simple J ticket today MEL-NTL. No where in the booking process does it give me the option to choose a seat. The e-ticket arrives in the inbox. Go back onto the website into Manage My Booking . Seat selection isn't even one of the choices :?:
WTF, it's as if VA bought a "Lite" or "Free" version of a booking engine.
Ring up Velocity Platinum and the agent gives me a world weary sigh and allocates me 1F, re-sends the itinerary.
I honestly wonder if any of these issues will ever be sorted, it's all very LCC to me :(

It really goes back to the delays (and then rush job) of bringing Sabre in to replace Navitaire. They've never overcome it - the Sabre team are STILL working on the fixes
