Velocity/Virgin websites are RUBBISH

Made my first revenue booking on VA in about 18 months... (QF timing didn't work for me).

Go to VA website - can't even get the booking to appear. It just kicks into a redirect loop.

What a joke.

Addendum - Telephoned, and selected seats (am still VA SG by some miracle despite not flying them, so was answered promptly).

Can ANYONE "retrieve booking using your Velocity number" on their phone? I get the "unable to do this at this time" message every single time in the last 6 months so it's not temporary for me. I always have to dig out my booking number reference and enter my surname and departure city. It works then but is a pain - no advantage in being a part of Velocity, never mind an "elite Gold"...

Same story for me to - I use the full website on a laptop/pc but always have to enter my surname, ref no and departure city to retreive my bookings. I think as far as the full website goes the "Retreive bookings by velocity number" is broken.

Interesting that Android users seem able to retreive by Velocity numbers fine, may be a common theme there that some functionality on the mobile sites on Android and MacOS is OK but does not seem to work on the full Windows versions?

Would be interesting to see what other devices people are having success at with retreiving bookings by velocity number.

ps: love that when you are already logged into Velocity with your Velocity number credentials that you need to log in with your Velocity number and password again to retreive a booking!

Works for me on Android.

I can also vouch for Android. I gave up trying to check-in on desktop with VFF details - it just doesn't work. As much as I love VA - their digital experience is woeful and miles behind every other carrier. Anyway, all works OK in Chrome on Android, so have just gotten used to doing it that way and using the QR code on screen to access lounge and scan in at the gate.

I've got Android running Chrome and it can retrieve the Velocity number but I always get that other fail message so have to do it the long way.

Anyone else able to login to Velocity at the moment? Im getting a "Technical Issue" message

thanks,

I had an email survey about my recent MEL/PER flight and served up my ongoing frustration at the inability to have a fully functioning website (unlike Qantas). Told them this was one one reason why they are only getting 50% of my flights (last 12 months rolling year).

Is it just me or do flights take way too long to appear in the activity statement? I haven't flown QF for a while but I think I recall (about ten years ago) seeing them appear overnight or even faster. These are taking four or five days sometimes with VA.

Yes, it has now pushed out to a minimum of 3 days to appear. One recent flight took 8 days to appear. It's ridiculous. QF can often appear the next day, if not same day depending on the time of the flight.

Another failure of their systems to do what QF can do within 24 hours. My flights in 2016 have all posted between 3 and 5 days (Aprils were both 5 days).

I flew BNE/MEL/PER on Tuesday and I was hoping it would post today. I won't be holding my breath (but am very interested given they should both post as double SC's). No amount of refreshing thus far today have revealed them (bit impatient)

Yes my Tuesday flights haven't posted yet either. I'm struggling to requalify for SG this year so need to watch every SC. A double SC offer would have been nice! Got one from QF but as I'm self-funded I can't chase status on two airlines any more.

Thanks serfty.

Addendum 2 - Changed plans so flew QF a day later anyway.

Now to play the refund game. Corporate TA didn't want to hold the fare as an open credit for some reason. TBH it's a bit of a pain as I need to wait 6 weeks + for the refund to come through.

So one of my flights from last Tuesday (SYD-BNE) has posted along with my direct (TSV-SYD) flight back on Thursday. Somehow my BNE-TSV flight hasn't turned up though!

I can;t see how anyone really sees value in a DOM TA.

The client I had in CNS used a TA and I needed to change the return flight. Normally, I'd just log onto VA and change it, but it wouldn't allow me to do it, so I rang VA who also couldn't do it and advised me to contact the TA. This was a Friday afternoon and TA phone said the office had closed for the day (circa 1pm), so rang their after hours number who told me it was not after hours and to ring the TA. Told them the TA had closed for the afternoon and he said that was rubbish and he'd put me thorugh......then wanted to know which branch I booked through.....I told him I didn't book it so I had no idea and he put me through to the most likely branch, which did answer the phone. The guy was helpful but from that point it still took about 20min to alter and I was charged for the service . Had I booked myself, it would have been changed in minutes.......but with a TA, it was over 1/2 an hour....and I think I was lucky that it happened at all.

Feel like I am in a loop. Checking availability SIN-KIX-SIN, and it shows me the Flight Calendar. Thusly:

But when I click on the desired date combo and select Continue, it just comes back to this calendar.
What the hell am I doing?
