Velocity/Virgin websites are RUBBISH

missed the memo :(

not like anyone would want/need to use the site during daylight hours :P

I thought that was a wind-up! No serious website does maintenance during business hours surely! My bank always informs me that it will be offline between 2am and 5am on a Sunday morning and warns me weeks in advance.

It's no wind up....they're currently off line.

Yes still offline can't get in to my velocity account.

I never got an email about it. For anyone that did what was the time frame stated?

received email to add PIN, cant even log into account thru the link, or my normal bookmark, or their mobile app.

Same here, can't access my account at all. Rather annoying given the increasingly urgent reminders of "hurry up and set your PIN before 30 June"!!

According to VFF's Facebook, they are "experiencing issues". Saying that they scheduled maintenance shifts the blame onto the customer for not accounting for the outage.

Just did a bit of experimenting - seem the Virgin Australia web site is working - so I put my VFF and password in there (and tick the remember me box) - no problems with my points balance and details displayed correctly, but when you go to do something (my guess is anything!) you are redirected to a Velocity web site login site and challenged for your VFF and password again! When you put your details in again it won't log you in. But when you try a 3rd time I just noticed - after an extraordinarily long delay - that I was finally in Velocity and my details were there and was ably to at least view my bookings. As I said - all running extremely slow on a Windows 10 Laptop with IE.

Seems that Velocity web site may have lost the ability to talk to the Virgin Australia web site? Maybe different IT people looking after each?

It's times like this that I seriously question my decision over the past 12 months to fly 13 times with Virgin & only 11 with QF...because the QF websites works flawlessly for me, my upgrades clear and I spend waaay too much time trying to get around the impediments they put in my way to just check things - like just now, wanted to check an upcoming set of flights, but whilst I can see the booking, it's not letting me in :(...at least I'm signed in ;)

....at least I'm signed in ;)

Unless you want to go purchase something via their estore (ebay, pharmac_ ect), then you have to sign in again - which is very annoying... or I ebay way too much

Come up here to the highlands where the internet is somewhat slower than we are used to in Oz and that "waaay too much time" becomes almost impossible to work with.......

Trying to log into VFF now, but it's just spinning its wheels. Tried the Virgin Australia website, no problems at all. Tried to use the VFF My Account link from the front page:

Invalid URL
The requested URL "[no URL]", is invalid.

FFS, surely it can't be that difficult....

I can log in but was trying to look up hotels to redeem points and its spinning its wheels and eventually it tells me to "Select a destination"... which I did on the previous page!

All,

For the last few days, it seems like the Velocity website is not picking up SQ and EY flights to book rewards!

just spent 20 minutes trying to book a reward seat and got to payment only to find seats no longer available.....Grrrr.....

I tried to log into Velocity after Virgin and got an "incorrect password" message. I said "bull$%^&@" and clicked login again and it went through. How is that even possible?

Why oh why can't you look at your Virgin bookings on the Virgin website and NOT Velocity. If Velocity is kept separate and is concerned with points and rewards then why can you only do web check-in via Velocity? This sucks. It's only been about five years with this rubbish website and they never make any attempt to fix it.

How is that even possible?

How is it possible that a frequent flyer could ask such a thing?

I thought even the local stray knew that negotiating the VA website was akin to an old episode of of Star Trek! "To go where no man has gone before"......I'm not sure why everyone whinges.........it's an adventure that few has taken before you!

Well no. Not really, but VA likes you to think that is the case. You should feel priviliged that you are the pioneer! (yeah right)

I log into my account via Your Bookings tab. Gets me in to my account .

But you have to enter your login details again??

I just tried to do web checkin for the nth time and got this message as usual. "Our system cannot locate the Velocity number entered..." I took a screenshot and was in the middle of going through the complaint portal (which, even though I was logged in, STILL asked me for my details including my VFF number!!!!) when it decided I'd had long enough and logged me out due to 'inactivity' - I hadn't even paused such was my ire. They must have detected that and shut me out.

What's it going to take?
