Velocity/Virgin websites are RUBBISH

Re: Velocity's Website

I know the context of this thread is pointing out the issues with the website, however I don't think the intention was to reference VX Elevate. If you read the 4 boxes left to right it could be argued the use of Elevate is for its literal definition in this instance... but point taken none the less

Yeah, that's how VFF meant it to be. It's still funny they chose that exact verb.

Re: Velocity's Website

not sure if im going blind, but a recent facelift to the Velocity page, but I cant see the "Contact Us" button, I swear it used to be up the top of the page

No, you're not going blind, there doesn't appear to be a "Contact Us" button anywhere at all on any page, even once you're logged into your account. If you scroll right down to the bottom of the page and click on "Support", that page then has various sections for FAQ, How To Guides etc, and further down the page is the Feedback section and contact numbers. Not exactly easy to find! .

Re: Velocity's Website

Wanted to check on an existing booking - mainly to see if VA has moved my seat selection (again...)

Go to VA homepage
Log in
Click on my bookings - opens another tab (Velocity)
Click on the booking - opens another tab (shows booking)

So, to check on an existing booking, I've now got 3 tabs open. This is crazy.

Re: Velocity's Website

Just noticed a new welcome badge and points count at the top of the Virgin Australia website, similar to Qantas. Is this the first step of integration between VA and VFF websites? It looks good!

There is also a drop down menu there that links straight into my bookings etc on the VFF website.

Re: Velocity's Website

Checking to see if they have finally changed their SYD>LAX menu, they havent, I noticed this;

"Sky bar. Join us for a nightcap at our Sky bar located behind Row 4."

Time for a menu change and update bar info to suit their new seat layout.

I'm trying to book a return flight PER-PQQ, the outbound flights book OK but with the return flights the only options I'm being given is PQQ-SYD then SYD-BNE or MEL and then to PER despite the fact there is availability and plenty of time to connect onto VA569 at 1900 direct from SYD??? just spoken to the call centre and their only suggestion was to make multiple bookings?

Email sent ;). You're no longer OT as I moved these posts to the correct thread :D

Another two issues for the Head of Marketing ;)

The Media release RSS feed advertised on the media page hasn't actually been updated since December 2015 - so any 'press' that use this to be alerted of new media releases won't actually see anything:
https://www.virginaustralia.com/au/en/rss/media/

The link to the announcement for "Announcing the winner of the Hilton Stay Your Way to LA competition" on 11th January 2017 is broken (I don't think it ever worked):

Well, I've FINALLY started receiving Velocity emails again. I sent an email asking them to please look into why I hadn't been receiving anything (no statements since June last year, and nothing at all since since October). Received a reply that it had been escalated for the team to investigate and they hoped to have an update within a couple of days. There's been no further email regarding what had happened or what the problem was or how they fixed it, but I assume they must have "reset" something on my account because two days later, Velocity emails suddenly started popping into my Inbox including (finally) my latest statement - in fact I'm now averaging one email from them every 1-2 days LOL. So credit where credit is due, and thanks to the Velocity team for fixing whatever the issue was :)

I seriously cannot believe they still haven't fixed the issue where if you buy carbon offset (for example) you can't manage an existing booking online at all, even select seats, because "travel extras have been purchased".
