Vietnam Airlines Delays/ Cancellations

VN780, the 1035 hours Monday 20 June MEL to SGN took off at 1154 with arrival of A332 VNA379 forecast at 1655, half an hour behind, not too bad considering the limited visibility and single runway operations afflicting Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport today due to inclement weather.
 
On Saturday 25 June, VN772, the 1015 SYD - SGN took off at 1120. Arrival should be half an hour behind at 1630. Aircraft is B772ER VN-A143.
 
Sunday 26 June sees VN772 again late with arrival in SGN of the sister plane to yesterday, B772ER VN-A142, likely at 1704, 64 minutes late after it took off at 1145, 25 minutes later than on Saturday.
 
VN781 into MEL on Monday 27 June should arrive at about 0907, 32 minutes late with aircraft A332 VN-A377. It did not take off from SGN until 2208 on Sunday night (26) despite a pushback time of 2100, so it has made up 10 - 15 minutes on its flight.
 
On Sunday 10 July, VN772 (1015 SYD - SGN) is expected to depart half an hour late.

UPDATE: It did not take off until 1138, about 55 minutes tardy.

Monday 11 July 2016 sees VN781 arriving in MEL with A332 VN-A376 at an approximate 0907, 32 minutes behind time.
 
On Thursday 14 July VN781 is expected into MEL at about 1134 instead of 0835. Aircraft is VN-A378, an A332. It did not take off this morning from SGN until 0032 compared with the Wednesday night scheduled pushback of 2100 hours.

The returning flight (VN780) took off at 1310 despite a 1035 hours pushback time. Arrival in SGN should be at about 1836, 131 minutes behind the timetable.

VN781, the Wednesday 20 July arrival in MEL ex SGN should pull into the terminal gate at roughly 0943, 68 minutes late with A332 VN-A378. Despite a Tuesday night departure time of 2100 hours it had not been airborne until 2243 but thankfully has made up some time on a point-to-point basis.
 
VN781, the 2100 hours from SGN to MEL on Wednesday 10 August took off at 2327. Thursday 11 arrival of A332 VN-A377 should be at around 1056, 141 minutes late, delaying the return flight's departure quite significantly.
 
The 2100 hours Wednesday 20 October 2016 SGN - MEL, VN781, did not take off until 2211. On Thursday 20 it should arrive at around 1030, 55 minutes late, meaning a tardy departure for the return to SGN.
 
VN781, the Sunday 2100 hours overnight from SGN down to MEL was airborne at 2221. Arrival on Monday 24 should be at approximately 1050, 75 minutes behind schedule, delaying the returning flight. Aircraft is A332 VN-A378.

With strong winds affecting SYD for much of Saturday 5 November thus far, only one runway - 07/25, the east west - has mostly been in use, so delays are significant.

VN772, the 1150 hours SYD - SGN took off at 1335; arrival of B772ER VN-A146 should be at 1757, 82 minutes behind time.
 
Sunday 15 January 2017 finds VN772, the 1150 hours SYD - SGN (B789 VN-A870) having taken off at 1303 hours with arrival expected at 1700 hours, 45 minutes behind schedule.
 
On Friday 17 February 2017, VN781 is expected to arrive in MEL ex SGN about 121 minutes late at 1121. As the return VN780 has a scheduled departure time of 1125, expect it to leave at around the 1245 mark.
 
On a wet Saturday 4 March in some of NSW, VN772 (1150 hours SYD - SGN, B789 VN-A864) took off at 1316 with arrival likely more than an hour late.
 
On Wednesday 5 April, VN787, the recently introduced 2355 hours Tuesday 4 HAN to SYD took off at 0620 on Wednesday 5, so arrival is likely at 1813 instead of 1215. Aircraft is VN-A867, a B789.
 
On Easter Sunday 16 April 2017, VN772 had quite some wait to get out of SYD with a few international flights queued ahead of it. B789 VN-A867 took off at 1107 with arrival expected in SGN at 1623 hours, 48 minutes late.
 
On a fairly wet Friday 21 April 2017 morning in MEL, VN781, the overnight from SGN (B789 VN-A869) is in a holding pattern near Kerang at 0900 but should arrive at roughly 0928, 53 minutes late although quite a few other aircraft are also doing racetrack or other similar sky patterns further south above Bendigo.
 
Saturday 29 April sees VN773, the 2100 hours Friday 28 evening SGN - SYD that was airborne at 2224 hours likely to arrive 56 minutes late at 0911. Aircraft is B789 VN-A870. VN772, the scheduled 1015 hours SYD - SGN will be able to depart only marginally late if all goes well.
