Vinomofo Wine Deals

Any decent pinot noir offerings lately?
I picked up some of this and have enjoyed it

10 days now and not shipped. I contacted them today and they claimed the items haven't yet arrived at their warehouse. I'll be contacting them everyday until it ships.

UPDATE: I did contact them again this morning. I was told that they now have the items and they will be dispatched soon.
Thank you for the persistence, it's probably you that ended up getting us a 15$ credit toward our next orders as we wait for our by farr deliveries

What's the wine?

I am thanking YOU . Great drop the Maxwell, such finesse and integration, simply moreish with a pasta dish tonight. So well balanced it is. But if I may say, and after I bought another 6 pack of the Patriti BSV for $89 delivered thankyou very much the Fo, I reckon the Patritti is better. Just sayin' not to be swingin' anything in the boys room, but these 2 wines take me back to the Fo of many years ago. I am a very harsh critic but I have memories here of Glenlofty and Amelia Park. In actual fact, I have a 2011 Glenlofty to go for Christmas as it was my brother who gave me a glass way back as he was an early Fo punter and I nearly fell of the chair, yes, that good. Ethereal is the word i look for and i do have to say it, the Patritti is ethereal. But you know my favourite drink is the next.......
Well I just opened the first of my Patritti and I've never done this before but the rest is going back. I just didn't like it

From my place in October:
Monday Tasting Group - 5 Patritti Shiraz + 1, all 2021 vintage. JPB under cork, all others screwcap.

Patritti JPB McLaren Vale Shiraz $80 14.5% Cellars $60.00 - Big and Bold and Oaky, but not overdone in any way, will be even better in 5 years. Clear group #1
Patritti Lot 3 Blewitt Springs SV Shiraz $50 14.0% Cellars $36.00 - All the same components as JPB, but toned down and more accessible, lovely soft palate. Group #3
Ministry of Clouds Blewitt Springs SV Shiraz 14.5% Nicks $57.00 - obviously a different style to the Patritti set, some maceration style aromas and flavours, quality fruit, quality oak, full mid-palate but more elegant than the JPB or Lot 3, lovely though. Group #2
Patritti BSV McLaren Vale Shiraz 14.5% VM $20.00 - fair amount of mocha oak, fruit struggling a little with the oak and tannin at this stage, a little hard-edged maybe, could improve. Group #5
Patritti Amico McLaren Vale Shiraz 14.5% VM $16.00 - dusty oak, full mid palate, soft tannin, cuddly but a little simple and short. Group #4
Patritti Merchant McLaren Vale Shiraz 14.5% Skye $12.00 - low oak and tannin, soft and juicy palate, good body and balance, pretty decent quaffer for the price. Group #6.

That's why I posted. Did you find it similar? What features did you dislike?

I'm not very good at describing it but it just lacked flavour and I found it almost sweet with no depth at all - I just had a glass last night so I might have another glass tonight and see if I can describe it better

So I tried it again tonight and a couple of friends tried it as well and no one really liked it. I felt it had no depth and just not good rounded flavours. It's unlikely to be a bad bottle so I'm just going to return the rest.

Agreed. Life is too short to be drinking red wines that are not to your liking.. Particularly being on this forum.

Tried this little number tonight. A Barossan take on Super Tuscan style whatever it means.

Thought it was fantastic with pasta. Hard to describe but definitely something Italian. Cab Sav plays the main role in this trio.

Thankyou @redbigot ! These are the tasting notes we need for all wines. Its like I can taste/feel the wines with your descriptions - so relatable without the hyperbole!
