Vinomofo Wine Deals

Re: Vinomofo secret wine deals

Just opened my first bottle of the sparkling white. Ordered a 6-pack, should have got at least a dozen. We will be having a party in a couple of months, it's excellent and I would not be ashamed to serve it. I hope it comes back around soon. (I presume they do get rotated?)

This Bissou Bissou? We don't really like it.

Re: Vinomofo secret wine deals

Any ideas on this Hunter Premium Shiraz? I'm not the biggest fan of Hunter Shiraz's but there are a few in that price range that are decent.

I suspect this is the Hungerford Hill Collection Hillside Vineyard Shiraz.

Re: Vinomofo secret wine deals

Well picked! I think I'll give it a miss - I think i've tried the 2010 and wasn't super impressed. Thanks!

Re: Vinomofo secret wine deals

Anyone have a hunch on what the McClaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon is? Just after a daily drinker and seems like good value but can be very hit and miss at the lower end of the market!

Re: Vinomofo secret wine deals

I think that's the Thorne Clarke Terra Barossa? I know they've had that on for that price recently. It's off by 0.1% on the alcohol but otherwise I think it's correct.

Not a great deal to go on with this one but my guess would be the Mitolo Jester.

Re: Vinomofo secret wine deals

Can I please submit to the brains trust for the Yarra Pinot....

A little harder to tell when they don't tell you which "leading wine critic" gave the rating... I think we might be one data point short.

Re: Vinomofo secret wine deals

Oh actually that's it! I actually really enjoyed the last case for an everyday drop.

I have bought a case, for $74 (well my girlfriend's account did with my credit card and the $25 off referral) so will see how it goes. At pretty much $6 a bottle not a big loss if it doesn't stack up.

seems to be Yering Station Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2010

it's Tyson Stelzer :)

although he gives it to 2016 not 2018 (perhaps that's Yering Station's suggestion?)

Re: Vinomofo secret wine deals

Interesting - it has Tyson's name on the main page, but not in the email or the deal page... They have recycled that graphic a few times, but it does "fit"

The Pinot-loving Halliday only gave it 90, but rated the other 2010 Pinots from Yering well.

mof_s, you loved the 2010 and the 2011 vintage of Butler Crest's Margies Cabernet, and we're stoked to be bringing you this back release from their treasure trove of amazing wines. A premium WA red that flirts dangerously with Black Market territory at a whopping 66% off - we challenge you to find a wine of this pedigree for under $13.

I got the same mail tk14... If you edit the link, it won't have your tracking detail in it...

Not too sure - I think it might not be the "best" year c.f. the 2010 which was quite good. But haven't tasted it...
