Vinomofo Wine Deals

Anyone had the Glenlofty Shiraz Viognier? Good value?

the purists will say that the 2012 viognier blended wine unduly influences a very nice, medium weighted, beautifully fruited, ridiculously under-priced wine. That is the 2011 shiraz on offer here 6 months or so ago. For any other critiques, you will have to read them by typing into the search rectangle near top right....

Shiraz Viognier tempting, but I have already bought two cases! Waiting on the 2012 Glenlofty Shiraz... I only bought the one case of 2011 and regretted it... Almost gone now

Did anyone buy the Glenlofty 2011 Cabernet when it was on offer? I bought some of that (before I was avoiding 2011 wine and before I found this forum) and thought it was very average. But I hear different things about the 2011 Shiraz and now the Shiraz Viogner... Should I be buying the Shiraz Viogner while I have the chance? Is it that good? (Think Student on a budget who may have also purchased the Schild GMS and Wynns Black Label... Credit Card getting a work out...)

I'd definitely go with the Glenlofty, personally I think it's delicious especially given the price. Third case of it on the way. Oops.

Yes, it's great. Can't recommend it enough. A few of us think it's better than the 2011 shiraz actually. For that price you cannot go wrong.

I am in the camp that says it is delicious :)

It's times like these that it's best to hit the buy with 1 click button I feel... Value for money is what I'm all about! I am almost hoping there is no more great deals in the next few weeks... Maybe they could have self exclusions like gambling sites...
Thanks for the help...
BOOM! The vino is mine!

Agree, Glenlofty SV has been one of my better buys per $ from VM. Missed out on buying more a few weeks ago and thought it was gone for good (just like the Maverick Twins GSM).

Looked at my dwindling stock last night after a bottle with some delicious spag bol and was really hoping I could get some more.. Woke up and my wish came true…now have 2 more cases on their way.. Very happy!

Star Lane 2012 arrived today and is pretty good cool climate shiraz - medium bodied raspberry fruit with charcuterie and spice notes. Sweet oak, decent length, a tad varnishy but very good QPR at $16. 3-5 years.

BTW the 96+ point red pack is a cracker. Won't name all the names but was stocked to get Wynns Black Label and VA Lane in it along with some smaller makers.

Didn’t get a chance to try mine as it didn’t arrive until this evening, or I should say about about an hour ago, thanks to a neighbour who was honest enough to drop it around to me after having received a double delivery today..his order and mine.. Thanks Nexday…..

They did manage to get my other order delivered to the right address today, the Schild GMS, and I sampled that with dinner. Must admit I was hooked when my VM broker rang me and compared it to the Maverick Twins GSM…not quite is all I can say.. . While not a spectactular wine, it was most enjoyable and hopefully will improve with age…juicy fruit with a bit of pepper and spice..

Anyway, can’t complain for the price…Certainly better than the remnants of the previous night’s Vinrock Bayliss Road GSM..
