Shouldn't "kiss my derriere" be more apt? :D
Still pursuing MW, not there yet. ;)

my mate pete used the eat adjective...

anyway, it isn't the woodside as the alcohol is way off.... I am in the middle of a grievance with them and wanted a catharsis.

This is catharsis.

Looks like the 2013 hewitson mother vine is back on. Any opinions on whether this is a good buy or a pass from those who have tried it?

The Mother Vine is a 'highly recommended' from me, especially at the Fo price. When I was rating it on Vivino, I said at the time:

"Lovely Barossa Shiraz - well worth it's 96 JH score. It's got lovely fruit power and elegance all in one sip. Highly recommended."

I am getting the hard sell from my new found friend at the Fo - aka Sarah the broker - regarding the Squid Ink. I am guessing nobody has taken delivery of this yet or tried it. Opinions from my dear wine enthusiasts? It's $60 a bottle at the Fo price, so needs to be a serious wine for me to jump on a 6 pack at that price.

Re: VIM Cabernet $80 down to $40

This is confirmed as Capel Vale 'The Scholar' 2011

Wouldn't it be great to have a single post with all the confirmed deals in this format? Unfortunately I have no clue if/how this could be done.

The links become invalid once the deal expires, so we'd need to copy a bunch of identifying information into the list - more than just varietal and cost I think.

However, VM effectively repost the same deal on a different link, so at least we could match up. But yes, some central point (post) where we could find all the confirmed deals in whatever format would be cool.

I have edited my post to include some screen shots that should provide enough info.

What I meant was a table that just had a current/existing link, plus the name of the wine, wouldn't work. We've had a bunch of posts like that in this thread before, and because the links are now invalid, it's impossible to see whether a new offer has the same details/description as the previous offer.

I guess a table of Varietal, Region, Year, RRP, VM Price, Major awards would probably be enough to distinguish each offer. Maybe add ABV

Re: VIM Cabernet $80 down to $40

Today's pinot noir Secret Deal is Petaluma White Label. Tried it last week, worst Pinot I had in a long time. Doesn't taste like pinot Noir at all. Should be avoided IMOH.

Re: VIM Cabernet $80 down to $40

So this deal is not available to all?

If it's a VIM deal, these are only available to VIM's.

If they don't sell out, they often become available to everyone.

Although I think you'll find TonyD45 has simply used the wrong heading for their message 'Re: VIM Cabernet $80 down to $40'

Pity you didn't see the review I put up at comment 4870 - seems it might have been on the ball

Looks good. Maybe ABV column. Are there any other unique descriptors we could use? The mof_ buyers description?
