Vinomofo Wine Deals

Just checked out VM for the first time in a while to discover a referral credit which I earned last week.

Not quite sure how it happened, but if you're out there Alistair thanks very much!

Now to decide if free shipping and that $10 Xmas credit is enough to trump my willpower...

Is it good? I love cabernet

I don't actually know for sure. I had previously tried the 2012 at the cellar door and purchased a couple of bottles at $52 each. So I thought the 2012 was worth that. I essentially took an educated punt on the 2013. Same wine maker also a good year for vintage. I figured at twenty something a bottle it was unlikely I was going to feel like I was over paying.

Thanks to you I've just wasted some more money :) Saw this https://vinomofo.com/wines/red-wine/louis-jadot-clos-vougeot-grand-cru-2013 and had to buy it at that price. Great producer. Also https://vinomofo.com/wines/red-wine...igny-1er-cru-les-fuees-france-pinot-noir-2013 is worth considering too. All this assumes you like red Burgundy. Both wines though well greatly benefit from extended cellaring.

Those are well out of my price range

I've got a few hours to consider the cabernet anyway.

A newby to the forum. Above arrived today and confirming as Kilikanoon Golden Hillside Riesling. Thought it might have been something else. Haven't tried it yet, but saw a fairly negative comment about it elsewhere on the web. Anybody tried it?

No, but I'd be interested in your thoughts. Their Morts Block Riesling is outstanding.

Having our second bottle tonight - it's fresh, crisp and quite dry. Not big on flavour, a nice wine by itself. We're happy with it and the value.

My wife liked it but I didn't love it. I'm trying to recall (it was only last week) I think I found it a bit too acidic or lemony. I'm not a big reisling fan, but I like the knappstein if that's any help.

Thanks for the comments Rugby and Jrod. Look forward to trying some in the next couple of days. Used my xmas credits on the purchase so ended up a cheap buy in the end.

It's a pretty big Shiraz. Good if you like that style. Needs more sleeping time IMHO. Also it's under cork, if that matters to you. I managed to get some at $32/bot as a secret wine (from WM if I recall correctly), so $40 isn't a bad price.
