Vinomofo Wine Deals

I used my credits on a red 'club case', consisting of the following (in pairs) for those interested. Usual price is $199 (!):

Haselgrove - Catkin '14
Riebke - Grenache '14
Five Geese - Nero D'Avolo '14
Mount Avoca - Back Block Shiraz '14
Better Half - Pinot '15
Penley Estate - Cab Sav '13

Happy given what I paid, but suspect one of them in particular may go down the sink. Some of these show up in older deals they've run.

I think it's an OK mix. Down the sink may be a bit harsh - surely at the very least you've got some friends that you don't like :)

Friends that you don't like, surely a contradiction in terms good doctor ;). I'm curious about the "one that's going down the sink", I wonder if this is based on prior experience jrod?

It's a decent mix, but I wouldn't have been happy at $199. A fellow imbiber left a fairly scathing review. Having said that, I have generally been a fan of that particular vintage and region in other brands, so will see. I'm also looking forward to trying the five geese.

I remember a couple years ago I won a bottle of Starfish Merlot in a raffle where the prizes were donated by P&F or something like that. I then googled it to find it's $0.75 at grays ha! I've still got it somewhere, so will one day pass the baton on!

Looks like Winefront did a review on the 2013 Atticus but I don't subscribe so can't see it.

I'm also curious. No reviews of that vintage in JH, CT or WineSearcher. Interesting they don't say where it gained the gold medal, most likely regional show.

Ended up using my credits and free shipping for the Truffle and Wine co Cabernet. Hopefully pop one open tomorrow to see what it's like.

Is everyone else still getting the daily emails from Vinomofo?

I haven't been receiving any mof_ emails for the past few days either. As a matter of interest Steady, have you got a bigpond.net.au email address? We've been having some issues at work with sending emails from Office365 to that domain in the last few days - may just be a coincidence.

No, I'm on a MS exchange address ending in .net.au

Mine are coming through fine; did have a patch where they vanished into spam but seem to have sorted that one out.
