Vinomofo Wine Deals

Madeleines 'Pudding Stone' Syrah Viognier 2009 is back! Did anyone try it last mine? Seemed to be chatter around it in July 2016.

Didn't try it last time, but will when mine arrives in a few days. It's what I referred to a few posts back as having bought for $12.50 a bottle (Syrah Viognier), following recommendation by broker. Couldn't find much about it though, so interested in opinions.

We had a bottle of Pudding Stone last year, thought it was very tasty and a definite buy again - at $12.50 excellent value.
Vivino has it at a "4".
(While stocks are so high at home would be willing to go 50/50 with someone round the 3850 postcode in Vic.)

Youre a bit far from me unfortunately.

Thanks RedBigot (I've been sooo tempted over time to call you BigRed). I've quite enjoyed a few different Lane wines and I would expect you have had at least a previous vintage at some stage. Do you have views? Seems like quality at a mid-20s price?

Adelaide Hills isn't my favourite region for Shiraz, I've even gone off Shaw & Smith a bit in recent years, my experience with The Lane is mostly Block 14 Shiraz, of which I've tried and enjoyed a few vintages, but not bought any quantity.

But this certainly seems a decent deal if you like the style.

Also keen to know about this... I have the 2015 Pyrenees shiraz and found it quite worthy of its price range. Will wait for the 2016 Pyrenees if this Gateway wine isn't as well-liked!

I havent tried the 2016 but was quite happy with the 2014 and 2015's, especially at that price point, a decent little quaffer indeed.

Edit: Re Innocent Bystranders Mule...

Disappointed after putting the Pudding Stone in my cart, clicking "checkout" and finding it had gone out of stock...
