Vinomofo Wine Deals

Hi all. I've just recently started using a broker at mof_ HQ. She's picked great wines for me so far, so I'm pretty happy with the service. Just wondering if anyone has noticed the time difference in the delivery times? When I was buying on my own online, it would take anywhere between 5 days to 14 days sometimes. But each time I order through the broker, it comes in less than a week. Is this perk with using a broker?

In country Vic, don't have a broker, rarely longer than 7 days from date of purchase, best of the online buy/delivery businesses :D

Or they're just pushing what they have in (excess) stock and can move it more quickly.

This is very likely.

I never had any value out of my broker. They were always pushing things I told them I didn't like. It was very apparent that they had their own agenda.

I haven't read this thread in the last few days so it may have already been posted. The Fo have Glenlofty Shiraz available. Just ring if you want some.

What vintage Buzz?

Is it straight Shiraz?

Anyone tried it yet?

I think that Rioja's decent (CT90 / Vivino 4.0 from me.) The '09 has 245 ratings on Vivino, so you should be able to get a view on what it's like. The app is better than the website.

Just noticed that a case I ordered early April hasn't arrived...

The cases I ordered last week arrived quick smart. Two days after they arrive - I got a message saying they're on their way...

Problems in FO logistics.

Just got a VIM email with a 2015 McLaren Vale Shiraz down from $68 to $22. Anyone have any ideas?

I think it might be Mitolo but there's nothing on their website for that price.

Previous vintages of that have received mixed reviews from AFF posters. I quite enjoyed - seemed okay value at $22. Overall V/M been a bit disappointing for some time.

Nothing that makes you want to hit the "buy" button immediately and now seemingly getting a bit lazy. Note they are now promoting the 2015 Clonakilla SV $93.50. Hardly a great deal - can find it cheaper elsewhere.

The 2013 was pretty controversial.
The 2014 got good reviews - I don't remember anyone panning that vintage.

In case anyone is interested, the Giant Steps 2014 Merlot VM were offering as a secret deal about 3 weeks ago ($12.50 in dozen) is very good value.

With the caveat that I have drunk little straight Merlot before, I would recommend this at $35pb. At $12.50, it's really is a steal.

First VW purchase in about 12 months.
