Vinomofo Wine Deals

Ha!
Had to think about that for a sec... I drive a VW, which might be why i was happy to type that instead of VM :)

In case anyone is interested, the Giant Steps 2014 Merlot VM were offering as a secret deal about 3 weeks ago ($12.50 in dozen) is very good value.

With the caveat that I have drunk little straight Merlot before, I would recommend this at $35pb. At $12.50, it's really is a steal.

First VW purchase in about 12 months.

The 2013 Vintage is on now if you haven't been reading previous posts. However it is $19.90!

I was looking at this one, aged Rioja sounds interesting, down from $60 to $28.50

The a quick search on Google: DWWA 2014 International Trophies: Red Spanish Varietals under £15 - Decanter
come up with a best in show award...for under 15 Euro (ok, pounds)...with no other entries entered against it :-)

So I tried it last night. it's "ok", seems like it's on it's way out and I wouldn't be cellaring it, I would have been very disappointed if I paid $60 for it, even $30 is not great compared to what else I could get at that price. The rest are going back, but this is turning into a bit of a pattern now.

Hey folks, I'm pretty sure this 2013 Organic Shiraz: www.vinomofo.com/wines/red-wine/mof_-secret-deal-shiraz-2013-25001 is by Baileys of Glenrowan (2013 Organic Shiraz)
It got 95 points from Halliday and some other bloke I've never heard of... Has it been up on VM before and does anyone know if it's any good?

Pretty sure you are correct.
I've not tried it, but the addition of Muscadelle is usually not a plus for me.
It scored 90 from Campbell Mattinson on The Wine Front.

Rob Geddes: Rob Geddes MW - Master of Wine

Hmm might stay away from it then - poked around on the Baileys website a bit more and found that they were offering a special where you could buy a dozen of them for $20pb, so it's not really a great VM deal anyway.
Cheers for the link, I'd never seen a review from him before until then!

It's $18.50 on the TWE cellardoor.co site, in 6-packs, free freight.

New WA Cab Merlot. Apparently 2012,13 vintages were a huge seller so I should probably know it. Amelia Park??

I'm sure you're correct Rocket. I've had the 2012 and 2013 before and they were fantastic value. Would have boomed this time but just had my Giant Steps CM 2013 and club case delivered yesterday.

Had $30 of credits for an apology on my account so boomed as well.

edit: I just properly realised what this wine is...its one of my go to's at $20 odd from Dan Murphy. May have to get another case...

I still have a 2012 and 2013 somewhere in storage, so I only boomed on 1 case (think I bought 3 12's and 2 13's)....too much wine! I still think one of the best VM value wines to date.

Would love the Cab Merlot but just spent enough over in the Barossa and McLaren Vale to keep me going for some time...and I'd been waiting for this one too!

Its a boom for me. I had tried some of their wines when compiling a mixed dozen from Winery Lane and was impressed.

Hopefully first of many. Sitting tight since they usually buy more than one thing from each winery, and a decent price can be had from Winery Lane for this if you know what to do.

UPDATE: She's spread all over the park! :)

Someone's already popped this on OzB (not our usual suspect) so it may go quicker than we'd like. :(

Boomed a case, worst case scenario is drink 2 bottles and return the rest....what could possibly go wrong.

It's from Amelia Park, but according to one of my members (via broker) it's apparently an "export label" or if feeling cynical, maybe "made for VM".
They also have a Shiraz 2014 at the same price, but won't be getting the Reserve level wines.
