Vinomofo Wine Deals

Did anyone buy the Giant Steps Merlot from VM and if so what did they think? I got cases of the 13 and 14 vintage but after opening a bottle of the 14 with friends on the weekend it seems something is wrong with it - maybe over heated in storage? All of us felt it wasn't right. Did anyone else find this? Know can send back but it may have been just 1 bad bottle, find it unusual for Giant Steps though. Interested if anyone had similar

I bought 2 dozen of the '14, haven't had any issues. Well worth the ~$13 a bottle. Mind you, my first taste was nasty, and took a glass to enjoy it

Funny that - I also thought the case of 2013 Merlot I'd bought was a dud after the first sip. But love the stuff now. (Taste buds must need conditioning.) Would be happy with more...

Anyone get the Clare Valley Cab Malbec 2013 BM email? $8.90 down from $27. Westward We Went? EDIT Yep it sure is :)

thanks Rocket09 - now I need to choose between the Westward We Want and the Capel Vale Malbec blend

I take it your a firm supporter of Westward We Want, hence why you got a targeted email?

Me either- I found it as one of the best value mof_ purchases in the past two years, three cases previously purchased, another one today.

Agreed - in the $9-12/bottle bracket, I've got the Fox Creek Fox & Hounds Cab Shiraz 2013, the Jeanneret Westward we went 2013 and the Maverick Twins cab blend 2013 as the standouts reds. Shaw Vineyard Estate Premium Riesling 2013 in the whites.

is the Maverick Twins cab blend 2013 still on offer anywhere?

I think the best I got it for was $6 something in the Cellarmasters bonanza last year - boom!!!

And if i am not mistaken... I saw it on CMs a few weeks back when they had the $100off (nowhere near the price of 16 though).
