Tried one of these tonight, not a bad Coonawarra at all. Pitty it's sold out or I would have grabbed some more. 2009 but still needs a good decant to open up.Seems to be this one. Haven't tried it. But at least it gives a start for some further research. Vivino reviews are positive.

The french Oak, blackberries and viollets definitely line up. I thought the Handpicked Heathcote Shiraz usually $70? The below link seems to be the previous vintage, the profile is exactly the same. Star Lane is Beechworth so not Star LaneIs this Handpicked?

I've had one order this year, Rolf Binder Heysen Shiraz 2015 recently at a very sharp price. I just ignore the VM hype and do my own research, never buy a mystery wine unless I know what it is, which I usually do soon after the email arrives.I’ve unsubscribed from all VM comms, I got sick of the florid descriptions for EVERY wine, some I bought that didn’t live up to the excessive praise. Might give it a break for a while.
I almost bought that a couple of times, good to know there are some good wines still. I ended up buying the Monterra, hasn't arrived yet though..That's my modus operandi too RB, I think it goes all the way back to having some Rosemount "Little Berries" palmed off on me and other unsuspecting AFF punters as a BM deal (after some particularly fanciful descriptions on their behalf) that convinced me to do my due diligence... Having said that I am finishing off the evening with a glass of the Cosmos Yarra Valley Shiraz 2016 Reserve courtesy of VM and it is an exceedingly nice drop which has somewhat redeemed them in my eyes
