34058 is Mornington, sorry that was the most recent BM Pinot deal in the thread / quotes and I didn't track back to the original 34016, which I haven't bothered to try tracking due to limited information and interest. That's from mornington though and the black market deal is Tassie??
Only going on the price point, there was a 2016 Barossa Shiraz at $22->$9OK while we're on the hunt does anyone know the real identity of this: Shiraz 2017 - Black Market Deal #34067
Yes, the cork seal doesn't match, could be something else, lots of wines get Gold at CWSA...You might have got it Redbigot
I do remember getting some Zilzie from Liquorland on special @ 6 for $36 which was
quite ok for an everyday drinker, nothing too complicated but with no dinner parties and fine wines it was a good 7/10. Anyway I was hoping it could be a Schild export shiraz with a cork seal but thats probably wishful thinking.
I have ordered a box and will report back but it will be all gone by the time it arrives at that price regardless of the label.
Swinney arrived a few days ago and cracked it tonight, my style of wine. Well balanced, slightly smoky and very drinkable. Wish I'd got more.Still waiting for delivery BTW, hasn't shipped yet a week later according to Aust Post
I don't get too carried away with CWSA medals either . Suspect if yoh pay to enter you are pretty much guaranteed an award of some sort.....Yes, the cork seal doesn't match, could be something else, lots of wines get Gold at CWSA...
Looking through this CWSA 2018 Results | CWSA | China Wine & Spirits Awards – CWSA | China Wine & Spirits Awards another possible is Chateau Tanunda, but I can't find a particular wine that matches.
