Vinomofo Wine Deals

Could be. If so, I have no interest.

But this "Capable of 8 years cellaring." is massively inconsistent with Vinomofo's claim that it would cellar until 2040.
Exactly - it sounds to me a medium bodied Barossa Shiraz not helped by the cool climate of 2017 - I think it would be too lean and restrained and 8 year cellaring ceiling is worrysome too.

I do recall DM had a secret deal on this one for $30 and it also came in a luxurious wooden box.
From what I recall "it was ok without being sensational"

I think you are spot on. And I also just received the general email.. so looks like the brokers could not move the stock so now they are going mainstream.
I still didn't receive it, customer service told me to change my settings.

So, basically daily deals over weekly?

Looking forward to your tasting notes!
I mean it's $25, not $80 RRP. I think differently if you're paying Cellar price.

I am actually hoping that 2017 will turn out like 2002 in the Barossa. Both cool, and in the latter case leading to elegant yet flavour packed wine that has cellared very well.

Isn't much information on this wine, other than being the wineries top wine they offer.

I'm very tempted tho!

Then you should definitely consider Caillard Shiraz 2017 - on clearance now for $19 from $55 if you email them direct. Exactly as you described - I found it too elegant and not having enough punch. It should cellar very well too. Sorry to be off topic.

Thanks for the recommendation. I tried the 2017 Mataro and found it superb.
High acidity and fine tannins from memory - I thought it was very refreshing and enjoyed it also. In that case you will enjoy the shiraz also - it just needs time for airing and it is a bit on savoury side too.

Just opened another bottle of the Rosenvale Shiraz v 2018 that I purchased earlier this year. From memory, it was priced really well on VM. So impressed, full bodied soft tannins and deep red cherry - wish I’d bought more.

There is/was Rosenvale Siraz/CabSav 2019 also. Was it under cork?

Is there? 2018 was with Diam. Can you share a link?

That was it - but it may have sold out

Edit @neozelatino

Sorry - here it is Shiraz Cabernet 2019 – Black Market Deal #37794

Meant to be this Greenock Road Shiraz Cabernet - Rosenvale Vineyards

We purchased the Grenache from VM from the label and it was very good. My brother is pressuring to split this, and that's before I mentioned someone on here loves it!

I am just concerned that there are no reviews except for dubious Sam Kim rating.
Yeah, as mentioned we have bought other wines from the winery and it was good. Someone else mentioned the 2018 was really good just recently, so they just produce some solid wines.

I did see the 96pts score from Sam and thought oh 🤣
