Vinomofo Wine Deals

Best case scenario. Worst case scenario is the wine shipped to the US or some intermediary port, sat on a dock for who knows how long and in what conditions before being picked up by VM and coming to Australia.
Yes, I think we will find out soon enough as people start pulling corks and trying the wine. I know some people who bought that had or have locally sourced bottles to compare.

Your worst case is probable I fear. I avoided this one as it didn't seem to come via the usual vinomofo established route.

Return guarantee is of no use to me.

I got mine today. Some capsules have white stuff on top of them. Looks like mould to me.

Sounding like it might be a roller coaster journey ahead. Haven't received mine yet and the mould comment has me a little nervous about the long term cellaring proposition. Here's hoping 🤞....

Mould on the outside of the capsule is something I've never seen. I think you can safely assume the wine wasn't stored in hot, dry conditions if there is mould. I also wouldn't be too concerned. I've experience a bit of mould under the capsule and on top of the cork on some older wines. Not all the usual if cellar humidity was high.

Crack a bottle and report back :)

I'm 100% confident it's been offered before in the past and perhaps someone who has bought it can chime in..

First offered in April 2021 as 37964, then 37936 in June, 38461 in August, 39540 earlier this month @ $23.50.
Awesome. I ordered a case yesterday with a discount I got. First timer with the black market deals, hope they don't disappoint.
Will report soon.

"We've never had their flagship wines before"

PS - I would say it is probably Ulithorne

Has this been confirmed? Has anyone tried the Ulithorne Paternus Shiraz?

Ok I took one for the team and opened a bottle.

Cork in mint condition as seen in the photo below.
Taste is fine, no heat damage or other issues but feel closed (even after a good breathing) and needs few more years in the cellar.

Still waiting for mine, thanks for the heads up review. Been tossing up the test v sleep conundrum 🤔
