Sounds like you’ve been mof_’dYup, I know, but I do entertain regularly and have friends who would enjoy this more than me, so that's fine. To be fair, I have mainly dipped my toe in for foreign wines from mof_ and generally been happy, plus occasionally Oz rieslings. I am more on the savoury side with reds too, so thought this would be okay given where it's from. Just a bad call but I can use it still

FWIW my tasting was quite different. I thought it had complexity but was austere and mildly tannic, hence happy to wait 5 more years until the recommended drinking window opens up.
Are you referring to Shiraz or Cab Sav Blend?

I have some of the Matrix cab blend which had rave reviews from the 'fo and others on this forum. Was pricey for a VM wine so I'd be super-sad if it isn't lovely. I wasn't planning on drinking it for a bit but now I think I should neck some to know what I'm in for.

That is what I thought, however @DaveLoftus was referring a different VM wine namely Will Domain Paladin Hills Shiraz. Whist on topic, I agree with you that Wills Domain Paladin Matrix had complexity and was mildly tannic however I didn't think it was austere or exceedingly acidic from memory.
