Vinomofo Wine Deals

May I ask why?
The rrp is a bit of a faff as VM is likely the sole importer. It seems like ~$50 is the going rate of a good cdp/gigondas

I also note the coincidence that 2019 vintage - the same one VM is selling has higher ratings (with low rating #s)
It’s $105 at Different Drop and their write up is pretty good. Seems to be worth a punt!

Multiple other stores have it from $105-$115

The cheapest you'll find this is $45 in France including taxes.
It's most selling for $60-80aud around the world. $60 considering all the shipping, taxes is what makes it cheap.
You can use Wine Searcher and select World Wide to check pricing on a wine.
Plus if you stack a code, and CB you'll probably get it for $50 a bottle which is basically what it costs in France.

Is it a discount? Not really if you live in France, but the ability to basically pay the standard Euro pricing makes is a good deal.

Compared to other CDP, I'm unsure how it stacks up.

Is this the same? Has $85 as the full price.
Yep. Difference could be our WET and gst but I'm not overly familiar with Singapore's tax on alcohol

Anyone tried this:

I love the Chilean carmanere but haven’t tried the blend…
I like it - it's a little light for my tastes (that's the Carmenere I guess), but I'm certainly not sending it back. If you do buy, I'd appreciate hearing your opinion.

Hi all,
Any idea what would this be?
Cheers
thanks for asking - link preview reveals all :)

previously phone-only, as low as $43.23 with $100 voucher last year
NOW... let's talk Rhône!
Both of these Châteauneuf Du Pape come to us from the long awaited and widely revered 2019 vintage.

2. Domaine De Ferrand Châteauneuf Du Pape 2019 (pre-arrival) - Rhône Valley, FRA

95 Points - Jeb Dunnuck
"The 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape from Bravay boasts a deeper purple/plum color as well as a powerful bouquet of smoked black fruits, roasted garrigue, black licorice, and ground pepper. This rich, full-bodied wine has loads of Provençal character, a stacked mid-palate, ripe tannins, and a great finish ... It’s beautifully done and well worth seeking out." - Jeb Dunnuck

This one's pretty special. Our Head Wine Buyer, John, told us it was his top wine of the last 12 months - and we can certainly see why!

This is not your average drop from the region - it's a tightly wound, red fruited, elegant monster (does that even make sense?) that I would recommend either decanting for at least 3 hours, or holding on to for another 2-3 years before getting stuck in. The blend of 95% Grenache and 5% Syrah/Mourvedre/Cinsault was taken from vines planted between 1910 and 1930, adding herbaceous complexity to the mix.

This is a serious wine for anyone who likes something a little different and interesting. Its vibrant and powerful red cherry and bramble will ensure excellent fruit is maintained through ageing, as will the cocoa-like tannic structure and mineral drive.

This is a long-term CdP that will pay off dividends if you're willing to wait!

Alcohol: 15%
Cellaring: 2038

Down from $120 per bottle to just $59.90 per bottle in 6 packs
Expected to dispatch from our warehouse on the 14th of October

Compared to other CDP, I'm unsure how it stacks up.

"Wow. This is really complex on the nose with black cherries, mushrooms, dried flowers and cedar. Some crushed stone and dry earth or tile. This is full-bodied and very layered with wonderful depth of fruit and creamy tannins. It’s focused and serene. Better than 2015."

Sourced from the highest vineyard on the San Polino site, this is San Polino effortlessly boasting their prowess and talent. Super complex on the nose with wild forest mushrooms, black cherries, dried flowers, and cedar. The palate is powerful with a huge personality. Full bodied, and all wrapped up in lush, creamy tannins.

This is an intensely complex wine that will continue to age for decades, but can be enjoyed today with a long decant and traditional Italian fare. "Hauntingly long finish." - Tony Woods

"The beauty and balance of this Brunello is wonderful, offering blueberry, black-cherry and violet character. It’s full-bodied, yet so layered and refined with and ultra fine palate of silky tannins. A joy to taste. From organically grown grapes. One both to drink and for the cellar."

2015 in Brunello was a fairytale vintage. With critics around the world heralding it as "iconic" and "historic", it only makes sense that San Polino produced a "Riserva" - only the seventh time they have done so in two decades!

The beauty and balance of this wine is exceptional. Blueberry, black cherry, and violets on the nose, coupled with highly aromatic violets and dark rose petals. The palate is all about finesse, being full bodied with powerful ripe fruit, dried herb, undergrowth, ultra silky tannins, and so, so, so much more. When our buying team tried this wine they were blown away, telling us they were "left speechless". If you're a lover of the best-of-the-best that Tuscany has to offer, don't let this one pass you by.

Just spent $400 at Rockford's, otherwise I'd consider the magnum. $250 - $60 credit + any CB.

I just can't buy 6pks at those prices by myself!
