Really enjoyed the previous vintage. No ratings I could find on the 2020, but at $15/bottle (after a referral credit and free postage) it was an easy decision.

The 2019 was a lovely refined specimen but my wine buying is still zip after 116 days going strong. Peeved I missed this one it but be strong beefarmer ! The Rosenvale GSM which landed last year too is a tad sweeter and a quaffer by comparison to the elegant VVR shiraz.

If you are going to drink now, definitely decant for a couple of hours and have it with a lump of meat.

However, it will age comfortably for a few years, it has the fruit depth and tannin structure for this.

First Drop could be the Votum instead as RRP and vintage match, but the description is an almost exact copy of Dragons Blood 2014 they were pushing last year (e.g. see here). Votum is 4.5 on Vivino, but Dragon's Blood 4.4, so might just be a cut-and-paste job.

Not uncommon with Sorby Adams wines at Vinomofo.

Indeed, such large claimed price drops from original RRP are also not uncommon at Vinomofo. Realistically, I'd rate this as a $25 bottle.

I generally rate Sorby Adams wine at the right price point. However, I wont be buying this. This is primarily because I am massively overstocked with wine, rather than because I don't think that this would be a good buy.
