Vinomofo Wine Deals

I guess we're talking about the Canobolas Smith cabernets? That's what comes up on BM Uncovered. I've never tried it.
Yep it is Canobolas Smith Cabernets. Cooler Orange climate. Lower alcohol, slightly higher acidity making it quite refreshing and nice red fruit in the middle. Very easy to drink. Bought it from VM about a month and a half ago.

I did try Paternus over two days. On day one - medium to full body and it is almost exactly tasted like Schoolhouse 2019 CS Under wax, just like with the Schoolhouse it is under Diam 2 cork. A little bit single dimensional with a lot of plum on the mid palate with a medium to long finish. And just like with the Schoolhouse CS, it wasn't really to my taste but the wife liked it. On the second day it really settled down well and I enjoyed it a lot more than on the first one. The influence of the Shiraz component was minimal to my taste but probably added a bit of a back to it. For reference I would personally pay a bit more and just get Wynns BL if I was after Goonawarra CS. All that said it is a good value for the VM discounted sticker price but most definitely not worth the stated RRP.
just wondering if your bottles arrived Wax-dipped Cork,or without the wax?
friend ended up receiving without

I impulse bought a case during the 20% cb - will share my thoughts once it arrives

Gotta say, I’m not sold on the “cool, irreverent” branding for wines, I’m still more of a traditionalist, so it would be the Reschke for me. That said, I still keep buying the 6 for just over a hundred deals rather than the $10-11 deals….last purchase was the Gaelic Cemetery White Hut, not yet delivered.

Have either of you tried the Gaelic Cemetery yet? Received mine yesterday.

I didn't really like the wine, but this wasn't my experience at all. This sounds like a damaged wine - oxidised perhaps.
There was a situation reported 2-3 years back where part of a batch of a wine (can't remember the exact one) was recalled as the final part of the bottling run resulted in some bottles filled with diluted wine as they started flushing the tank and bottling equipment.
