I think the best I got it for was $6 something in the Cellarmasters bonanza last year - boom!!!

And if i am not mistaken... I saw it on CMs a few weeks back when they had the $100off (nowhere near the price of 16 though).

Yes I paid around $7 per bottle delivered from CM, and very quickly had 3 cases at my doorstep! As for the Westward, I did by a case (which I guess is why I received the email) and from memory thought it was pretty darn good. And now have another on the way

Gask is $75 direct, or at least current 2014 vintage is.

My guess (and it's only that) is a Lou Miranda Single Vineyard Shiraz 2012, but it's listed at $90, not $99 and I can't confirm the a/v or 92 RP score.

Unsure what Lou Miranda Single Vineyard gets on RP, but it's not coming up when filtering by 92pt wines.

The Gask matches a/v, closure & RP score. The big unknown is what they're charging at the winery for back vintage. It also scored 97 Halliday pts, so it seems very strange that this isn't being spruiked?

Yeah, the lack of hyperbole (Halliday 5 star producer, ICONIC winery etc. etc.) is making me suspicious that it isn't Torbreck.

I am very sceptical that Torbreck would sell Gask at this price via VM.

There is a Lou Miranda Old Vines Shiraz 2012 that scored 92 from RP, wouldn't be the first time VM were confused. And they have had lots of Lou Miranda wines before.

And it's listed as "pre-release" on the Lou Miranda site, not in the regular Estate wines list, a typical VM ploy.

Reading the VM tasting notes (matches almost word for word) plus the 'we love this winery' points to the Lou Miranda IMHO. Plus VM have had plenty of Lou Miranda up before, and very little (if any) Torbreck. I'm pretty sure Torbreck could move whatever they wanted through Langtons or similar at a far smaller discount.
