Vinomofo Wine Deals

I think it's worth pointing out that it might be "made for mof_" - some of us have been burned before :)

"New" wine, recent appearance on the web site but Sold Out without any apparent public release - anyone else remember the first Mitolo Cantiniere?

Buying from VM is a bit like a lottery, but at least it's hardly a severe burn/risk, you get your money back if you don't win.
Yes, worth noting the possibility of MFM, but from a credible maker with a credible (if not entirely glowing) TN (and not Sam Kim!), it's a little premature to judge the possible qpr of the wine.

Yes, good points. An independent review from someone other than SK is something I'd normally want to see.

Is this a decent drop? I have a $25 credit, bringing this down to $9.40/btl

Apols for delay in reply, no personal experience but it sells at DM for $21.99 in a box of 6, well reviewed as far as I can see, put it up as item of possible interest. (Sold out now.)

Hi all

Can't quite work this one out. Any ideas? Thank you

Was that a haselgrove one? If so and I can't remember but ive had about 3 from their ranges and I liked them.

Was it you kevviek that we exchanged 3 botts five years ago in richmond?
The Ledge was a Chain of Ponds wine. And yes, that was me - I remember getting some Epsilon from you but can’t recall what I handed over!

So to answer your original question, the Ledge was a magnificent wine and all three went down beautifully.
Mention here was made of the farmers leap shiraz. I think I have about 2 left from the 12 and all were very good. Not too complex per se, but nothing offensive about it eaither. Great value indeed and the consistency of every bot was impressive.

I have just had 2 six packs delivered from the Fo and none were mentioned here in the last ten days or so. Barossa Black market Deal 34998.
Single vineyard, family owned down to just under$20. Rosenvale 2017 Vine vale Rd. This is a very good wine indeed, with a lot of complexity. Not fruit bomb either. nicely made and has what i have to have in full bodied(thats not to say a wine described as medium will not appeal to me as Victorian reds fall into this category a lot and they are great and fill up upon airing) and fruity. More of a firecracker or grenade than a bomb. Lovely length. Certainly worth $40, dont know about $60 as its not my area.

the other one ten days or so ago was the WA Harewood Reserve 2018 Cabernet reserve 6 pack BM deal at about $20 a bot. Only had the sampler and it was very very nice. So two out of two wins.

Kevviek, you still with Amazon? and still knocking down a few botts?

W and D, nice send back of the granite, i understand when the description doesnt meet the reality. A bit like half of these dating agencies i guess.
Better luck with the new one. Please report.

I’m guessing, but suspect it will be Clarendon Hills Hickinbotham
Oops, I think I posted in the wrong thread. Maybe I should posted it in different thread

Thanks for the guess! but Clarendon Hills rrp is $60 though.

I love Clarendon Grenache.

First time poster here, and recent first time buyer from VM.

My first purchase was the Rosenvale 2017 Vine Vale Road (Black Market Deal 34998). I thought it was fantastic, and probably well worth cellaring. I've kept three bottles and will revsit in the few years. Certainly agree that it would be reasonable around the $40 - $50 price point. I expect a lot from any wine above that price, so that's really not a criticism.

I've today purchased Black Market Deal #35222 (2016 Pinot Noir). Took advantage of the free shipping. Seemed to have a few positive reviews, so I'm hoping it meets expectations!

Sadly out of stock now (mine just arrived) but 32048 ended up being Artis Single Vineyard Gruner Veltliner 2017

34998 is a Shiraz, I thought the Vine Vale Road was a Grenache. Did you get The Rosenvale Old Vines Shiraz, or is the number wrong?
