Like everyone else here my referral points I'd been waiting on finally came through. Since then I have had 2 new referrals that I know of but no points have popped in to my account. What have people's experience been these last week with new referrals ?

My signup bonus and referral bonus has popped up in my account, but am still waiting for them to move across to my velocity account. I have already paid my first statement including the card fee. I've got no plan of using those points any time soon, but I'd still be more comfortable if they were in my velocity account.

Most will find that it will take around a month (i.e. 1st full billing cycle) before the first sweep occurs.

I have an autosweep around the 4th of the month from my Amex and then it usually appears a day later in my Velocity account.

Thanks to anyone that used my referral link here. Just used my referral points to book 2 x Etihad Apartments AUH-LHR for next year. Was very pleasantly surprised by the low taxes for the redemption (< $100 each incl. credit card tax). Using Aadvantage to go EY F on the Dreamliner from BNE-AUH (with connecting flights from Hobart) - again with no hideous fuel taxes.

So... that means I can now cancel my existing Emirates F reward (via QFF) (2 seats) SYD-DXB-LGW. Flights departing 27 April. I'll cancel them in the next day or two, just in case anyone here wants to nab them if/when they go back into inventory. I am quite happy to give them up for EY flights though as the fuel taxes for those flights ran into the $700+ per person.

Any idea why they've taken the annual free flights from perth-syd and adelaide off???

Even though the website might not show it, the call centre still books it to Syd and Adelaide. Give them a call and do a dummy booking!

When I activated mine, I had a few really good offers.
Spend 30, get 15 @ woollies & target. Also Optus & Telstra offers.

I found it took 2-3 days for the "Welcome" offers to appear with my card. Give it a few days..
