Virgin Australia Business Class - Meals, Menus & Service

OK, put your hand up if you know what Jamón serrano is? Menus that you have to google annoy me.

I would be disappointed with this menu and would be asking whats economy eating. Only the serrano ham and goats cheese is appealing to me.
I put my hand up :p

Sorry, since when do you fly anything other than BNE/CNS or vv @danielt25 ? Damn that looks a good meal, I’d be happy to receive it.

Yes, was quite surprised (and impressed) this was described a "supper" service given the duration of the flight.

Yes, don't usually venture to this part of Australia; just here for a weekend conference. Might check out the floriade if I get a chance!

Breakfast on BNE-MEL. Potato rostie, with poached eggs and bacon (ham). Unfortunately it tasted as though it had been prepared the night before.
Happy to get a champers when requested.

Hello regular Virgin Australia flyers,

I usually avoid VA, primarily because of their lack of food options in Economy.

I have never flown business, but will have an upcoming trip from Auckland to Rarotonga in business.

Does anyone have any tips on how to get a VGML on board? As far as I can see I cannot request this meal on flights other than the HKG or LAX flights.

At least one of the two main meal options onboard a B737 Business Class flight will be vegetarian. (IME, that is how VA always does meal service in Business.)

I would suggest letting the Cabin Supervisor know when you board (they normally come and introduce themselves to you shortly after you sit down, while the aeroplane is still on the ground) that you are vego and would like to select that option for your flight meal later on.

P.S. if you are still peckish later after the meal, why not ask if they have any Super Salad Wraps (lettuce, hommus, fetta, slaw & capsicum) from the economy buy on board menu (plated and delivered free to Business Class passengers on request) - now try and do that on Qantas!

Yes, you can always get the wraps and snacks from economy. Unlimted actually. Another great perk from VA over QF.
