There's currently a couple of cells between SYD and WOL. The departure to MEL usually takes the aircraft to WOL then continues on the flight plan route. It seems to me that they were unable to track south because of the weather, so they've conducted the loop back over the top of the runway to join up with the route after WOL.

In further on Tuesday 5 June 2018, ongoing rain and storms around SYD during the early evening have seen VA887 (1700 hours MEL - SYD that took off at 1812 hours, B738 VH-VBY) arriving at 1942 hours, 77 minutes tardy.

VA319, the Thursday 7 June 0900 hours MEL - BNE that was in the sky at 1023 with B738 VH-VOK should be at its destination gate at roughly 1223 hours, 73 minutes behind time.

The 0900 hours MEL - BNE, VA827 was not airborne until 1015 so arrival of B738 VH-YIF should be at 1117 hours, 52 minutes late.

Another scheduled 0900 hours departure, VA925, but from SYD to BNE took off at 1041. B738 VH-VUV should be at its gate of arrival at 1200 'high noon', 90 minutes tardy.

VA830, the 1000 SYD - MEL with A332 VH-XFJ took off at 1056 so arrival is delayed until 1214 hours, 39 late.

In further on what was a foggy 7 June 2018 morning in SYD, VA1519 (0950 hours SYD up to TSV) had not taken off by 1200 'high noon', so is at least two hours late. VH-YFT is the B738.

VA 1323 sitting on the ground in HBA, Fully loaded, now 20 min post scheduled departure. One of the pilots standing in the gallery talking to FA, door open. Has said strong winds in MEL to blame, late inbound to HBA. But we boarded almost on time and now just sitting.

25 min post scheduled departure, same condition.

Roo, where I am in Melbourne it's fairly windy: sufficient for a large shrub to have lost a limb.

At the airport though it looks to be windier with 44kmh north winds gusting to 50.

Your VA1323 (1235 hours HBA - MEL, B738 VH-YFL) took off at 1309 so arrival should be at 1417 hours, 27 late.
